Welcome to the West Lakes Dragon Boating - ASA Meetup Group! This group is for individuals who are keen to try dragon boating and are looking to connect with others who share the same interests. Whether you have tried paddling in the past or a beginner looking to try something new, this group is a great way to meet new people, get some exercise, and have fun out on the water. Come out and join us on Saturday 9th May 2026 at the Aquatic Centre, Bower Road, West Lakes - 10.00-11.30am - fora FREE come and try - a great exercise regime whilst working towards our personal goals.
The come and try on 9th May will be run by accredited coaches - explanation of the dragon boat technique on land, putting this into practice in a boat, followed by cool down at the end of the 45 minutes on water.
After completion of a short registration slip, you will be supplied with a paddle and a PFD (life jacket)
Recommended you wear shoes that are OK to be wet, a hand and bring a bottle of water.
