The West Orlando WordPress Meetup is for anyone in the West Orlando Florida area cities of Winter Garden, Apopka, Ocoee, Clermont, Windermere, Gotha, and other nearby municipalities who would like to meet to discuss all things WordPress, web design, and online business management. Beginners to advanced practitioners are welcome to attend.

With over 55,000 plugins and themes in the .org repository alone, hundreds of hosting providers, CDNs, security configurations, and email setups, things can quickly become overwhelming for many DIYers. In this presentation, we'll learn how to turn tutoring sessions into repeat business, up-sell clients into full site builds, and leverage affiliate marketing. We'll also discuss using recorded sessions and client testimonials as powerful social media content to grow a brand and build long-term client relationships. Mark Bennett is a WordPress Developer at the University of Central Florida, where he works with the Office of the President, Office of the Provost, and campus-wide initiatives.He transformed the campus-wide email system by using WordPress to build emails.
He is the owner of LearnerBuilt, where he specializes in WordPress tutoring. He has conducted more than 200 sessions of individual and group WordPress tutoring.
Mark has been a part of the WordPress community for over 8 years.
ATTENDING THE MEETUP
This event will be ONLINE ONLY. It will be broadcast at 6:00 pm EST on Thursday, November 21st as a live Zoom online meeting. The Zoom link will be revealed and sent after you RSVP for the meetup. To deter "Zoom-bombers", we stop new RSVPs just before the presentation and we screen everyone who joins Zoom by comparing their names to our RSVP list. When you join Zoom, be sure that your Zoom name matches the name under which you RSVP'd.Participants are asked to mute their audio when the presentation begins. Please hold all questions until the end. After the presentation concludes, everyone in the Zoom can discuss the presentation, answer questions, and socialize in video conference mode.
