Weekend Trip - Lake District - Blencathra & Buttermere

Join us for an epic weekened away in the spectacular Lake District! We will be doing two hikes with a rest day inbetween. All fitness levels are welcome, however, please ensure read all warnings at the bottom before signing up. Including our usual disclaimers that will be added to each walks own event page.

Friday - Meet at accomodation. Get settled in.

Saturday - Hike #1 - Buttermere Loop - Red Pike, High Stile, High Crag, Haystacks, Fleetwith Pike (5 Wainrights) - 10mi / 16km

Sunday - Rest Day/Leisurely Activites

No need to stick together today. In Snowdonia, we went in smaller groups and did different things on the rest day.

• Non-streneous walks (e.g. Threlkeld/Keswick railway trail).
• Browse major outdoor brands shops in Keswick.
• Walk alpacas or llamas.
• Pencil museum (I'm joking about doing it, not joking that it exists).
• There's an adventure centre near Keswick.
• Lowther Castle near Penrith (this place looks insane!)

Monday - Hike #2 - Blencathra via Halls Fell Ridge, Bannerdale Crags, Mungrisdale Common (3 Wainrights) - 10mi/16km

AirBnB Accomodation
I have booked a large house (link in comments) near Keswick. It has 6 bedrooms and can accomodate up to 18 (19 if a couple joins, one room has a double bed) people. It has a large kitchen, seating area and someone in the comments mentioned a patio and outdoor seating area!

*It will be £125 per person for the three nights. Happy for people to pay me £65 up front and then the remaining £60 in July if that makes it financially easier.

Warning - Terrain

The Lake District can be extremely rocky. The majority of routes will have uneven rough terrain. Please be sure you are confident on walking terrain like this.

Warning - Weather

Lake District weather is unpredictable even in summer time. You must be comfortable hiking in cloudy conditions on the terrain mentioned above. Be sure to bring plenty of layers with you, there is no garuntee it will be shorts & t-shirts weather on any of the days.
