Harriman - Cats Elbow, West Mtn, Timp N More

I am picking a location that (weather permitting) provides me with options -what does that mean? Assuming the weather is moderate, the plan is to start ramping things up to get us back to the standard Saturday mode. That means -the minimum for this hike is 8 miles with the potential ceiling in the 10-mile range. Exact route still TBD but for this event I'd like to go UP Cats Elbow which means there will be a Rock scramble

Features - Views, Views, Ridgelines, a likely short Rock Scramble -and the potential for a Super-Secret trail or two or more that to the best of my knowledge has never been offered by any other area hiking group

Estimated Distance - TBD - At a minimum 8, but the potential to be 9.999 n more -We will be off trail by 2:30

And No -this exact route is NOT on ALL Trails - and no I don't know the exact elevation gain for the day -it will be a decent workout with the goal of being at or above 2000 ft Saturday standard

Meetup Location -Anthony Wayne Recreation Area - located off of Exit 17 on the Palisades Interstate Parkway. - As you enter, pass the closed toll booth - make your first right and park in the LARGE lot.

Note: Cell reception at this lot is iffy. So - if you are directionally challenged or require additional prep time please plan to arrive early.
