Anyone up for a Sunday afternoon Wilder ride, a bit less demanding than the Demo ride? We'll find a cool way up to Old Cabin, which is a fun downhill followed by a sometimes-steep singletrack climb. From there, a roundabout route to the picnic tables. Depending on what people are up for, we might do Enchanted...or...?
The ride will be about 2-3 hours, and maybe a total of 12-15 miles and about 1200 - 1500 feet of climbing. Not a beginner ride, but we will stop and take our time, keep the pace somewhat mellow, and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Physical: 6-7 (some of the hills are steep and long, especially at the start), Technical, 6-7.
I hope to see you there. This will be my first time leading a ride with SJMTB.
As always a helmet is required for all SJMTB rides and extra protective gear is recommended if you are tentative about riding trails with roots. Extra water, a snack, and your basic trail side tools (multi-tool, tube, pump) should be sufficient for this ride.
