What we’re about
Wing shooting the act or practice of shooting at game birds in flight or at flying targets, typically clay pigeons. Modern wing shooting disciplines include trap, skeet, and sporting clays. Upland game and waterfowl hunters use wing shooting skills to take wild birds "on the wing."
Snake River Quail Forever is a habitat and education organization serving the Treasure Valley and southeast Oregon. We offer innovative wing shooting training opportunities for youth and adults throughout the year. As a volunteer-run non-profit, we are able to offer courses a low cost. Our mission is to introduce the joys of wing shooting and upland hunting to the public. Note that one can enjoy and pursue wing shooting/shotgun sports without becoming a hunter

This is a fun shoot in memory of our dear friend John Gosselin and is one of two fundraising shoots we will hold this year. The proceeds from the shoot will be used to fund our chapter's habitat improvement and education programs.
The shoot will take place at the lovely Idaho Sporting Clays lower range in Homedale. This is a beginner-friendly course in a forest setting. Each shooter will shoot 50 clays as they move through the course. Once the shooting is over, a BBQ lunch catered by Grubbin BBQ will be served. We will have raffles and prizes, including gun raffles.
Shooters will provide a shotgun, 50 rounds of target ammunition (no shot larger than 7 1/2), ear protection, eye protection and a means to carry ammunition with them (bags are often available from the front office).
