About us
What defines modern dining today beyond just the food itself? This morning conversation explores the changing relationship between food, culture, lifestyle, and experience — from fine dining and storytelling to changing attitudes around sustainability, hospitality, and the future of food culture.
Janice Leung Hayes is a Hong Kong-based food writer, editor, and producer whose work has appeared in The New York Times, Monocle, Condé Nast Traveller, Eater, and Tatler Dining Hong Kong, among others.
Beyond journalism, she has helped shape Hong Kong’s food culture through founding Island East Markets, Tong Chong Street Market, and Poho Market, supporting local producers and increasing awareness around sustainable food systems. She is also co-head of multimedia agency Capsule48 and leads food and cultural experiences through Little Adventures in Hong Kong.
Since 2014, Janice has led Honestly Green, a social enterprise and consultancy focused on food sustainability and advocating for more transparent and sustainable food practices.
