About us
I don't know about you, but it can be hard to find others who are willing to put their gear on a paddle board, or in a kayak and paddle off into the sunset for a camping adventure. That is what we do in this group. We might paddle in camp at the Lake James State Park, Toxaway Keowee State Park, or other locations in WNC. All you need is a SUP, kayak, or canoe and some dry bags to put your sleeping bag and food in. It is probably OK if your tent gets a little wet. We might camp for one or two nights.

Social Meet and Greet at Hi-Wire in Biltmore Village
Hi-Wire Brewing - Biltmore Village, 2A Huntsman Pl, Asheville, NC, USIt's getting warmer, which means it is time to get out and camp and paddle. I have an event scheduled for my SUP group that I would like to invite you all to as well. We are meeting up at the Hi-Wire in Biltmore Village and the event will be very informal. The majority of those attending do not know each other so you will all be able to all mingle seamlessly. We plan to get to know each other and brainstorm some paddle adventures for this spring and summer.
If you would like to check out my other group with this event posted here is the link: FUN SUP ADVENTURES IN WNC
Hope to see you there, Sarah

Tent Camping and Paddle at Lake Jocassee Devils Fork State Park
Devils Fork State Park, 161 Holcombe Cir, Salem, SC 29676,, Salem, NC, USJoin us for a camping trip with Paddle time! Paddle boarding on Lake Jocassee at Devils Fork State Park feels like gliding through a hidden mountain paradise. The water is so remarkably clear that you can often see deep into the lake beneath your board, revealing submerged rock formations and shifting shades of emerald and blue. As you paddle along the quiet coves, the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains rise steeply from the shoreline. Early mornings are especially magical.
We have reservations at the tent camping campgroud, which is a short walk from the parking lot. But this is not the type of campground you can drive your car up to your site. And I am pretty sure we can put in our boards right from the camping area. The cost is $40 total per person (paid to me) but totally worth it because this lake is quiet and unpopulated. Unlike Lake Keowee, which is busy with boats and homes.
Friday night we can informally come together for some social time. Saturday morning we can get out for a paddle after breakfast. And then another paddle in the afternoon and come together for dinner at the campsites Saturday evening.
I will need your payment via Venmo by April 17. Please direct message me for my Venmo. You can call the park for more information 1-866-345-7275.
