The purpose of this group is to join empowered women interested in empowering other women. We also hold mixed-gender events periodically, and welcome Empowering Men at these events. Learn more about us here: www.womenempoweredmcr.org.
Majority of successful women have made it through many obstacles to become successful. It is not easy to reach the top and many of us have received help and support from other empowered women. Our goal is to put our minds, energy, and love together and support women. This is a safe and supportive space for women. Please join us! Let's support each other! 😊

WE did it, ladies and gentlemen! Together, we made it to our 3rd Birthday celebration!
And, we deserve to celebrate!
MWEG was born on Meetup on 22 May 2021 and we became a non-profit entity on 10 January 2022. We are now more than 12,000 online and growing every day. We now have our own WE MCR podcast, and we have just today received funding from The National Lottery too!
We have brought this group to this amazing point together and we deserve to celebrate ourselves and everything we have accomplished.
This group would not be here without you. So, we are going to eat and celebrate our journey together.

Cost
The venue required a £10 deposit. Therefore, we require £14.00 to reserve your place which consists of £10 payment as a deposit towards your food, and £4.00 non-refundable PayPal/Admin fees.
You can book here or on our website. You can avoid the Meetup fees (please see below) if you book through our website.
Finally, we want to include everyone. Therefore, please email us at finance@womenempoweredmcr.org if you would like to apply for funding to attend this event.
PayPal/Admin Costs
PayPal charges us a non-refundable fee for every transaction and their rates are varied and keep changing but they are generally between £0.45 and 1.50. Therefore, we are charing a flat fee of £1 to cover this fee.
We are also charging £3.00 to cover other costs such as cost of decorations, cake, and reimbursements of travel costs to volunteers. We are a nonprofit entity and all funds go towards helping women.
Meetup Costs
Recently Meetup is adding their costs (about £2) to the reservations when you reserve here. Therefore, when you are making payment, you may see a few pounds added for this cost. We do not receive this additional money.
If you would like to avoid this additional cost, you can book for the event on our website.
Refund Policy
If you attend, you will receive your £10 deposit back at the venue to pay for your food. You will then need to pay for any additional costs of your food and the service charge.
Please get in touch if you are unable to attend an event. Generally speaking, your payment is non-refundable. However, where the terms and conditions of the venue allow for a refund and you have an unforeseeable or urgent issue, we may be able to offer a refund, minus any costs we have incurred (such as fees by the venue and the PayPal/Admin fees) or we may be able to switch you over to another event.
Also, we always welcome substitutes. If you can't make it, why not resell or gift your space to someone else?

### Photography/Videography
We take photos/videos and use them for marketing purpose and in order to encourage other women, who may be anxious and alone, to join us. However, we also respect everyone’s right to privacy and we want you to feel safe at our events. Therefore, if you would not like to be photographed, simply please inform our photographer or a member of our team. We will then place a heart over your face to protect your identity when using the photos/videos for marketing purposes. Or, you can simply remove yourself from the area when we are taking photos/videos.
Please note that, due to social media settings, we cannot remove your photos/videos after they are posted. Therefore, please remove yourself or inform a member of our team at the start of the event so that we can modify the photos before we post them.

About me
This session will be run by myself, the founder of this group, Dr. Rokhsareh (Roxy) Vahid.
If you have attended our events, you will know my story. You will know that I've "made it" and I'm intimately familiar with hard work, loneliness, desperation, and hopelessness. I know what it takes to start over and achieve things that seem impossible. I have had to learn to be resilient and resourceful and think outside the box.
If you feel stuck, I want to try to help you figure out a way and break the chains that may be holding you back. If you are in that dark lonely confused place and you feel scared and stuck, I know how you feel. I know it can feel like a mammoth task, an impossible task to get through it all. I know how much strength and determination and courage is required to break the chains that are formed not just by our own thoughts but also by our circumstances. I am not here to tell you what to do. I am here to help you clarify your thoughts, possibly make some suggestions, give you hope, and try to help you move forward one way or another.
Or, maybe you are already considering a plan of action and your future and you just want to have a chat about it. Well, I am here to listen, give you my thoughts, and help you if I can.

The sessions will be informal and individualised to each person. I will listen to you and try to help you find a way forward.
Everything you share during the session will be completely confidential. As an American lawyer, I am very much used to keeping things confidential and, therefore, you should have no concerns or worries about confidentiality.
If you attend more sessions, I will try to assist you with creating a plan of action for your personal journey. And, if you require assistance which I cannot provide during the session, I will try to find answers/solutions for you after the session and I will get in touch with you.
My goal for these sessions is to help you feel supported and never alone and afraid.
Cost
The cost for these sessions is £40.00 per hour and all funds will go into the entity. I do not get paid in any way or take any funds from the entity for this or anything else that I do. We are a non-profit entity and all funds go towards supporting women.
I want to be inclusive and available to help all women regardless of their financial means. Therefore, if you cannot afford this fee, please email us at directors@empoweredwomen-mcr.org and we will consider giving you a discount.
Refund Policy
Generally speaking, your payment is non-refundable. However, if you have exceptional circumstances, please email us at finance@empowerdwomen-mcr.org to explain your circumstances and request a refund.
Meetup Costs
Recently Meetup is adding their costs to the reservations when you reserve here. Therefore, when you are making payment, you may see a higher fee to cover this cost. We do not receive this additional money.

Here is an easy and inexpensive way to socialise and meet other Empowered Women! 🌸💕☕
Same place. Same Time. Every 2nd Saturday of the month at 10:30 am at M&S Cafe. ☕
The venue is public and open to everyone and we want to make this event open to every woman including mums. Therefore, properly supervised children are welcome to join us. 😊❤️
The M&S Cafe is located in central Manchester near Arndale. After the event, we can break into smaller groups and just walk around or try a bit of shopping or do anything else. 😊❤️

You are welcome to join us any time between 10:30 am and 12:00 pm. This is a tentative agenda for those arriving before 11 am:

11:00 am Introductions (Your name, location, and hobbies)
12:00 pm Socialising and just having fun
1:00 pm We normally wrap up around 1 pm and then head out to do something fun nearby or go home.

Cost
This event is free of charge. We would be very grateful if you would donate to our non-profit activities through PayPal to directors@empoweredwomen-mcr.org. We are all volunteers and all of the money is used to support women.

Dinara Mukh is a certified Women’s Health Coach who seeks to educate and empower women to take charge of their hormonal health. She is a TEDx speaker and has a very successful podcast ‘Feel Better Be Better’.
Ms Mukh offers individual coaching to women seeking to restore their hormonal health to feel great in their bodies. It is a holistic approach that explores root causes to women’s health issues and where women can thrive with proper nutrition, reduce stress and be more confident, healthy and balanced in life.
Cost
The total cost of this event is £5.00 per person which includes operational costs and PayPal fees. We are a non-profit entity and all funds go towards helping women.
