Women of Wisconsin - Connections, Collaborations & Community

We are a networking group that focuses on personal relationships first, and professional networking second. We are primarily located in and around Madison WI, but welcome women from anywhere in or around Wisconsin who is interested in connecting with other women, for professional and personal connections. 

We take a little different approach to networking than most groups do. We believe building relationships with each other is much more important than growing an email/contact list and business card collection. 

Events will be centered around getting to know each attendee.

**We encourage you to share about topics that matter to you, while respecting that other attendees may not have the same beliefs as you.  Any discussion that becomes offensive or discriminatory toward any group of people will not be tolerated. 

WHAT TO BRING: 
• Please feel free to bring your business cards, event flyers and an optional door prize to our meetings.
• A pen and paper is helpful to take notes during member introductions.
• Bring layers, in case you feel hot or cold whether we are outside or inside.

Most meetings are held at restaurants and we ask each attendee to at least purchase a beverage or meal. 

If you are homeless, disabled, or otherwise living in poverty but want to be a part of our group, reach out ahead of time and I will coordinate to make sure you are able to participate fully, and enjoy a drink and/or food with the group. You belong here, and everyone deserves a chance to connect with people and enjoy some refreshments every now and then 💜 I too have experienced difficult times, and I know the value of a warm meal and human connection 🙏

Please note - at events with alcohol available, you are expected to know your limits and leave before you become overly intoxicated at meetup events. Plan to have no more than a few drinks.

NO-Shows & Cancellations: A networking group is only as strong and effective as the members who show up. If you RSVP Yes for an event and are no longer able to attend, please cancel your RSVP.  

As a member of this group you also agree to not add our members to your mailing list without a specific request to do so from the member.

Our mission at WoW is to keep our group a supportive space for our members. WoW group leaders reserve the right to remove you from our group at any time for any reason.

Before joining our group, please make sure your meetup profile includes a visible photo of yourself. This allows us to be able to put a face to your name, for our events. 

Please note - Trans women are women.  This will not be debated. Anyone who identifies as a woman is welcome in this group.
