This gathering is an invitation for Black women to reconnect with their inner strength, build confidence, and explore what safety, awareness, and protection can feel like within the body and in community.

Through guided self-defense instruction, reflection, and intentional conversation, participants will learn practical skills while also creating space for grounding, empowerment, and connection.

Hosted by Young Black Femmes in San Francisco — now officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization — this experience is rooted in the belief that safety is not only physical, but also emotional, communal, and embodied.
