Yoga & Hiking Weekend in the Brecon Beacons, Wales
Set in the spectacular countryside of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Buckland Hall is surrounded by mountains with vistas along the Usk Valley. Only 3 hours from central London by road or rail, 2 hours from Birmingham and 1 hour from Cardiff. From the days of Arthur, through a medieval prince of Wales to Lord Buckland, the site has been home for generations of families and hobbits (Buckland Hall was reportedly the inspiration for J R R Tolkien in choosing the childhood home for Frodo Baggins, when the author was in the area). Now its doors welcome you to experience the comfort and therapeutic qualities of this idyllic 4-star country mansion. In keeping with their health and environmental ethos, Buckland provide a wholly vegetarian menu guaranteed to be mouth-watering for everyone, even those less accustomed to vegetarian cuisine. Lunches and dinners are served at the table 'home-style' which enhances the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There is a permanent tea station offering teas, coffees as well as a range of herbal teas. Also, fresh water from Buckland's own spring is freely available at all times, in fact, you will notice the difference as you bathe in it! After a wonderful day's hiking relax in the cosy library or main hall to enjoy good company and roaring log fires. The Brecon Beacons National Park contains some of the most beautiful and distinctive uplands in Britain with spectacular mountains, lakes, rivers and caves. The surrounding villages are perfect for historic exploration or quiet relaxation. Each day will begin with an energising yoga session to invigorate you for a great day's walk, followed by a delicious breakfast buffet of fresh fruit, yogurts, organic bread and freshly brewed coffee. We then head out for our hikes taking in the fantastic views of the British countryside. We return in the afternoon with plenty of time to relax before our evening yoga session to help stretch out and soothe those well-used leg muscles, followed by a delicious vegetarian dinner and relaxing evening.

If you love to hike and have never done yoga before but would like to give it a try please join us. We generally have a really lovely mix between those who are completely new to yoga and those who go to yoga classes regularly.
