The Yokohama Vegan Meetup is an information and networking resource for vegans and the “vegi-curious” who want to enjoy a healthier and more humane lifestyle. It is an all-volunteer group that relies on the participation and support of people who want to create positive change in Yokohama and surrounding region. Please join us!
横浜ヴィーガンミートアップは横浜周辺でヴィーガン、ベジタリアンまたは菜食に興味のある人たち向けにヴィーガン（完全菜食主義）の食事会を開催しているグループです。
まだまだ日本にはベジタリアンは少ないですが、ベジタリアンの友達が欲しい方、ベジタリアンと交流したい方、ヴィーガンの食事に興味のある方はぜひ一度参加してみてください。
月に一回のペースで2016年から活動しています。
普段は横浜周辺のレストランで食事会を開催していますが、夏には由比ガ浜で海水浴のイベントを開催したり、バーベキューもやったりしています。友達もたくさんできますよ。
とても楽しいグループですからぜひ一度参加してみてください。

Let’s enjoy vegan Taiwanese food in Chinatown

Hello everyone,
We will host a meetup at Kokien, a Taiwanese restaurant in Chinatown, popular among vegans and vegetarians alike. There are several veggie-friendly restaurants in Chinatown, but Kokien distinguishes itself with many raving reviews on Happy Cow and with a large offering of vegan dishes, five pages full.

Their dishes are very reasonably priced and come in generous servings. You will surely find dishes that strike your fancy. You are also encouraged to order as a group with your neighbours to sample as many kinds of food as possible, and most importantly enjoy a great evening with fellow veggie enthusiasts.
I will order some dishes beforehand so that we can start eating soon and we can order more after we arrive.
We will split the bill, and fee will be around 3000 yen.
Alcoholic drinks will be available for order. They have many more dishes than we can list here, so please do check back for photos of their menu to be posted on this event page later.
Note
Whenever we host meetups, there are always some no-shows,
sometimes we have to pay for the no-shows as well.
We are having a hard time with this.
We kindly ask you to refrain from last minute cancellations and no-shows, except for unavoidable reasons.
For confirmation, please read and respond to the message I will send later by 3 days before the event.
If we do not receive a reply, we may cancel your application.

さらに料金は安くて量も少し多めです。
もちろんおいしいので、皆さんきっと満足してくれると思います。あらかじめいくらか大皿の料理をオーダーしておきます。
それを同じテーブルに座った人たちでシェアをすることにしましょう。
みんなで分け合ってより多くの種類の料理を食べることができます。
同じテーブルを囲んでみんなとの会話も盛り上がると思います。
足りないと思いますので、みんなで好きなものを追加でオーダーすることにして、会計は割り勘にしましょう。

Oriental vegan lunch party in Kamakura

３月のミートアップは北鎌倉駅のそばにあるこじんまりとしたヴィーガンの台湾料理店、一素茶庵（こちら）で行いたいと思います。
このお店では肉魚乳卵を一切使用しておらず、台湾素食の知恵を導入し、身体に低負担の食事が日本でも手軽に楽しめるよう目指しています。
料理は素朴な味付けながら豪華でした。
お店は古民家をそのまま使用したようなとても趣のある雰囲気です。
今回はヴィーガンのセットを提供してもらいます。
料金は2800円です。
お店があまり大きくないので18名までの募集とし、貸し切りにさせてもらいます。台湾の五葷抜きのヴィーガン料理を楽しみましょう。

The March meetup will be held at Isso Chaan, a cozy vegan Taiwanese restaurant located near Kita-Kamakura Station.
The restaurant uses no meat, fish, dairy, or eggs, and incorporates the wisdom of Taiwanese vegetarian cuisine to offer meals that are gentle on the body and easy to enjoy here in Japan.
The dishes are simple in seasoning yet beautifully prepared.
The restaurant has a charming atmosphere, as it makes use of a traditional Japanese-style house.
For this event, the restaurant will prepare a special vegan set meal for us.
The price is 2,800 yen.
Since the restaurant is quite small, we will limit the event to 18 participants and reserve the entire space.

For our meetups, we inform the restaurant of the number of participants in advance so they can prepare the appropriate amount of food.
Unfortunately, we often have no-shows at our events, and in some cases we end up having to pay for the meals of those who do not attend, which causes significant difficulties.
