You N Me’ Cafe was created from a feeling many people know too well.
- The feeling of being surrounded by people, but still feeling alone.
- The feeling of having so much to say, but not knowing who would truly listen.
- The feeling of pretending everything is okay, because explaining your heart feels harder than carrying it quietly.
This cafe was built for the person who has been strong for too long.
For the person who celebrates quietly because nobody is around to cheer for them.
For the person who is tired of being judged, questioned, corrected, compared, or given advice when all they needed was someone to simply listen.
Welcome to You N Me’ Cafe — BC’s First Humanity Cafe.
This Meetup group is for the events hosted inside the cafe: board game nights, solo meetups, community lunches, honest conversation circles, business networking nights, and simple gatherings that help strangers become a little less strange to each other and with the only purpose of bringing community together. Have friends and want to join with them? Great! Solo and have no one to go with? Even better. Because here, being alone, is actually a good thing as you make soo many new connections.
Also, this cafe is not only open during events.
It is open for real life, too.

After moving to Canada, I spent most of my life doing things alone: eating alone, figuring life out alone, carrying responsibilities alone. And I know there are so many people silently feeling the same way. That’s one of the biggest reasons behind creating You N Me’ Cafe. Not just as a coffee shop, but as a place where people can sit together, share a meal, have real conversations, and feel like they belong somewhere again. So every Sunday, we’re creating a table where strangers can become familiar faces, conversations can happen naturally, and nobody has to ask, “Who do I have to go with?”
Come alone. You’ll never feel alone here. ☕✨ 🗓
This Sunday's theme is potluck:
Bring a dish that means something to you.
It could be:
• A family recipe
• A favorite dish from your culture
• Homemade food
• A fruit tray
• A salad
• Sandwiches from Safeway
• Cookies from Costco
Nothing fancy. No pressure.
Just bring something you'd genuinely enjoy sharing.
We'll put everything on one table, share a meal, hear each other's stories, and remind ourselves that strangers don't stay strangers for very long when they break bread together.
This event isn't really about food.
It's about creating a table where nobody has to eat alone.
Drinks will be available from the café
$10 per person ($5 towards cafe credit for your choice of drink)

Or maybe you’re not lonely at all — you just want to meet new people, make new friends, and have conversations that feel a little more real.
That’s exactly why Solo’s Night exists.
At You N Me’ Cafe, we believe you shouldn’t need a group to walk into a room and feel like you belong. This evening is for anyone who wants simple, genuine human connection — without the pressure of dating, networking, impressing anyone, or pretending life is perfect.
For one evening, your job title stays outside the door.
Your degree stays outside the door.
Your social media version stays outside the door.
Here, we meet as humans first.
We may use conversation prompts, play board games, or simply sit together and talk about life — new beginnings, breakups, happiness, struggles, dreams, healing, change, or anything real. You can share as much or as little as you want.
This is not dating.
This is not networking.
This is simply a place to be human.
