Details

A half day Wellness Festival for Inner Peace & Balance with embodiment practices & expansion that will shift your consciousness!

Tai Chi & Chi Gung with Tim LaVallee
2:00-2:45 PM
Tai Chi and Chi Gung (Qigong) are ancient Chinese modalities that are designed to strengthen, harmonize, and center the whole person. Fluid, mindful movement coupled with focused breathing make Tai Chi and Chi Gung practices beneficial for both healing and healthful maintenance. Additionally, when practiced regularly they will help you to cultivate and harness the body's natural energy. In this session students will learn a simple Chi Gung set and 5 components of the 5 Elements Tai Chi style.

Authentic Movement with Audrey LaVallee
2:45-3:30 PM
Participants will receive an introduction to the practice of Authentic Movement. Authentic Movement is a meditative movement practice involving a mover and a compassionate witness used to develop insight, self-awareness and integration of mind, body and spirit. Participants will learn the basic structure of Authentic Movement practice including: learning to follow the body's inclination to move or be still and learning to track/witness your internal experience with curiosity and non-judgement. Audrey and the Infinity Collective artists will provide witnessing, while participants will focus on learning the role of the mover. No dance experience necessary! This process is accessible to all bodies and abilities.

Breathwork with Miriam Lundgren
3:30-4:15 PM
There are many forms of breathwork, and in this particular practice, we focus on a powerful technique designed to bring balance and awareness. In this session, we'll begin by lying down in a comfortable position. Then, we'll engage in a 3-part open-mouthed breath, a method specifically crafted to regulate the nervous system and deepen your connection to your inner self. As we inhale, we open ourselves to receive; as we exhale, we release and let go. Throughout the session, you have the opportunity to set an intention, or simply allow yourself to experience the flow of breath and the profound sensations that arise with this practice.

Guided Meditation with Zen Master Sebastian Rizzon
4:15-5:00 PM
Zen points us directly to the heart of our experience. The human mind often becomes clouded by thought, obscuring our ability to recognize our true nature. To fully engage with every moment, we must first cultivate a clear mind. A mantra is a tool for liberating the mind. In Zen, a mantra serves as a focal point for meditation. By focusing on a mantra, we can begin to dissolve the conditioned patterns that subtly restrict our awareness. In this session, we will explore different mantras to help us expand our awareness and deepen our connection with our true nature.
This meditation session begins with the resonant sound of a singing bowl, using its vibration as a mantra to help dissolve extraneous thought and settle the mind.

We will then shift to a word or phrase silently repeated in the mind, using it as a mantra to clear the mind and bring focused awareness. From there, a guided narration will lead us into direct experience of the awareness that underlies all thought-the very foundation of our being. Finally, we will introduce a huatou (critical phrase) to point us toward the deepest insight into who we are and the nature of reality itself.

HUMANHOOD: Sync with Tara McCrystal
5:00-5:45 PM
The method is an entirely new paradigm of somatic movement designed to deepen your connection with your body and energy. Inspired by Chi Gong, Yoga, African Dance and Meditation, the experience is an invitation to embrace the language of the body, to go beyond restless thinking, and to immerse ourselves in the transformative power of movement, opening up to the un-known in ourselves and in our life.
Far deeper than just a choreographed set of moves, the practice follows a channeled sequence that submerges participants into trance-like states, where dance becomes the catalyst for self-realization. We guide you to listen to the deep, somatic rhythms inside your body and move as an expression of your own healing and transformation.
