This 60 minute sound bath is a meditative experience infused with the tranquil sounds and healing vibrations where you will be bathed in sound waves produced by various instruments including crystal singing bowls, gongs, drums and chimes.
This journey through sound is for everyone at any stage of life. Since you are lying in a resting position the entire time, you don’t need athletic ability or flexibility to participate. Sound healing can be very beneficial for pregnancy, prehab and rehab, old and young, or people who are experiencing disease, illness, trauma or a stressful life. It is particularly helpful to someone who has had a difficult time connecting with traditional meditation or yoga, but still yearns to experience similar benefits. This is especially true if you overthink or have excessive thoughts that make it difficult to quiet your mind. The sounds from the instruments produce a calming effect that slow down the brainwaves for restoration and rejuvenation. Deep relaxation is one of the most significant benefits you will receive as the sounds permeate your system, activating the body’s system of self-healing and returning it back to harmony.

If you are like most people, you probably experience tension and discomfort in your low back from time to time (or possibly all the time).
Many of our daily activities such as vigorous exercise, sitting for long periods of time or wearing unsupportive shoes can irritate our lower spine. If you often feel achy, tight or in pain by the end of the day then you know what I’m talking about. Luckily, Yin Yoga and the spine go together like pieces of a puzzle.Practicing Yin has incredible benefits for the spine, hips and full body. Yin offers a wonderful combination of compression (for building bone strength and health) and stretching (or decompression, that helps connective tissue move optimally) which allows the body to release tension in a slow and controlled manner.
Join Jeny Dawson, Yin Yoga Instructor and Trainer, partnering with Chiropractor and Certified Yoga Instructor, Dr. Maddie to learn about the effects of Yin Yoga on the body all the way down to the Nervous System level. Dr. Maddie will teach us about the spine, how it is designed to move, and why yoga is such a profound practice for creating change in your system.
The workshop concludes with a 90 minute Yin Yoga sequence led by Jeny that is designed to stretch the connective tissue surrounding the spine and hips to bring more ease into your body. Complimentary sound healing/ will be provided for stress relief and relaxation.

Join Jeny of Zen Soul Balance on the last Monday of each month at Buddhi Yoga for a full-body-deep stretch and Sound Healing and reset for the new month ahead!
This is a therapeutic stretching class that targets primary muscle groups surrounding the hips, hamstrings, lower and upper back that tend to be tight for everyone. Tight muscles can cause imbalance which often lead to aches and discomfort. This class will help you lengthen and stretch in a safe, effective way to improve flexibility, joint mobility and range of motion in your body.
Each stretch will focus on relaxing muscular engagement with 2-7 minutes holds generally in a seated or reclined position. Holding poses for longer periods of time and focusing on breath gives the body time to fully relax and open. By compressing and elongating during each stretch, a physiological response is activated that repairs, maintains, and increases tissue health.
Students will be guided safely with particular time and attention to functional alignment, allowing energy to flow within the body, and enabling students to enjoy the practice with fluidity and ease.
This is an accessible class that almost everyone needs – athletes, advanced practitioners, weekend warriors, first time yoga students and everyone in between. Focused stretching allows muscles to relax and lengthen, which puts less strain on the skeletal system and reduces tension throughout the body.
Neither experience nor flexibility are required, just an open mind and a willingness to have fun while trying something new.

- Sound Bath & Restorative Yoga – Solana Beach
Embrace the re-awakening beauty of Spring at the deepest level with a celebration of Restorative Yoga and Sound Healing!
Jess O’Reilly (Yoga teacher & Violinist) and Jeny Dawson (Yin Yoga Teacher & Sound Practitioner) will create a tranquil honoring of the season. Jess will teach the restorative yoga practice and play the violin, while Jeny compliments with sound healing; utilizing vibration and meditation to create a relaxing space that promotes a sense of calm and peace through crystal singing bowls, gongs, drums and chimes.
