Jane’s Walk is a movement of free, locally led walking tours celebrating the legacy of Jane Jacobs. The walks get people to explore their cities, connect with neighbors, and learn new information about their communities. Started in Toronto in 2007, Jane's Walk is now an international event, with hundreds of walk in more than 100 cities across the globe. More information on Jane's Walk can be found at http://www.janeswalk.org/.
Feet First is organizing Jane's Walk for the Puget Sound region on May 3 and 4. Join us on 15 walks we're hosting across Bellevue, Edmonds, Issaquah, Kenmore, and Seattle. Details about the individual walks can be found below.
This group is for everyone who walks, strolls, hikes, ambles, hoofs it, wanders, treks, and meanders to discover new trails, experience other places on foot, and meet people. We believe that walking together is a healthy, sustainable, and fun form of transportation that provides a better understanding of our built environment and the opportunity to share knowledge.
Feet First is a local nonprofit working to ensure all communities in Washington are walkable. We organize many fun walking events throughout the year---come walk with us!
Most of the walks listed are led by Feet First's Neighborhood Walking Ambassadors. If you are interested in receiving our Neighborhood Walking Ambassador training to leading walks, send an email to the organizers!
