Hi Refresh members,
From talking to people at the meetups, I know that some of you are
interested in improving your web-development skills, so I wanted to
let you know that the week of November 15-19, David Beazley, Rodrigo
Guzman, and I will be teaching Practical Python Programming Plus
Django in the Andersonville neighborhood
(http://dabeaz.com...). There are still four spots
available in the class. For anybody who's interested in web
development with Python and Django, it's a great way to learn.
The first three days will be an intense, no-bull Python course with
David Beazley and aimed at using Python to solve various practical
problems including analyzing data, encoding/decoding various file
formats, accessing databases, scraping web pages, and automating
system tasks. For the last two days, Rodrigo and I will join Dave to
go through the fundamentals of the Django framework and some more
advanced tricks of the trade to guide students through the
construction of a real Django web app.
Already know Python or Django? Then you can also sign up for just the
"Practical Python Programming" or "Introduction to Django" course
Please check out the course page on Dave's web site for more
information -- http://dabeaz.com... -- or talk to me
at Wednesday's meetup.
I hope to see you there!
