Love plays, musicals, comedy shows, and arts events — but don’t always have someone to go with? You’ll feel right at home with Thumbs Up.

We make it easy and affordable to enjoy Toronto’s vibrant cultural scene with a friendly, welcoming group of fellow theatre lovers. One of our core values is accessible theatre — which means we actively seek out discounted tickets, rush performances, and pay-what-you-can events whenever possible.

In addition to theatre, we also explore a wide variety of non-theatrical outings, including concerts, walking tours, street festivals, day trips, and more.

    Join us for a delightful Port Hope Day Trip featuring How We Got to Jersey: A Tale of Two Frankies, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear not one, but two Frankie Vallis in a show-stopping concert revue that takes you behind the scenes of the blockbuster Broadway smash hit, Jersey Boys. The show stars Adrian Marchuk and Jeff Madden who played Frankie Valli in the smash-hit musical Jersey Boys!

    • Our day begins with time to explore the charming shops and picturesque streets of Port Hope. You might want to check out Crazy Cookie for a delicious treat!
    • Next it's time for lunch at the Railside Restaurant. Choose your own entrée from their tempting menu and enjoy a relaxing meal before the highlight of the day.
    • At 2 p.m., it’s showtime at the Capitol Theatre where we'll see How We Got to Jersey: A Tale of Two Frankies. This unforgettable concert revue brings together Adrian Marchuk and Jeff Madden, two talented Canadians who both stepped into the spotlight as Frankie Valli in the smash-hit musical Jersey Boys.
    • Through stories and songs, you’ll hear how these two small-town kids from Canada rose to portray a Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame icon on stages around the world. The show features all the hits you love from Jersey Boys — including “Sherry,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You.”

    ACCESSIBILITY

    The Ed Mirvish Theatre is an old theatre. Our group seats will be in Orchestra and Mezzanine. There's an elevator at the theatre's Victoria Street entrance that can take you to the Orchestra-level lobby. If you want to sit in Mezzanine, you will need to use stairs to get to your seat(s). If you have difficulty with stairs, let Belinda know.
