This class will run for 12 weeks from January 8-March 26! Drop-ins welcome to any class! All levels are welcome :)
In this class you will be guided through the foundational concepts of Contact/Movement Improvisation, such as deep listening, rolling point of contact, weight sharing, sliding, sloughing, supporting, and following connection. Experience sharing your center of gravity with others, while negotiating how to naturally fall, tip, catch, and pivot with the help of momentum and moving together.
Class may include solo and group guided improvisation, CI partnering exercises, deep sensory awareness exercises, movement meditation, and will conclude with structured group dancing and observation. Each class is unique!
Lindsay Forsythe has enjoyed dance creating, performing, and teaching for over three decades. Her background includes ballet and modern dance. She has trained with multiple contact improvisation teachers, some of her favorites being Nancy Stark Smith, Nita Little, and Nora Hajos.

Maria Toso is a seasoned yoga teacher, spiritual coach, and author dedicated to helping individuals heal emotional wounds and reconnect with their divine essence. With over three decades of experience, she has guided thousands toward emotional freedom and spiritual empowerment.
Originally from Copenhagen, Denmark, Maria now resides in St. Paul, Minnesota. Her Heal What Hurts Philosophy helps individuals release emotional triggers stored in the body’s energy field, fostering deep self-trust and energetic sovereignty. Through her signature Heal What Hurts Process, Maria integrates breathwork, somatic practices, meditation, and sacred feminine healing.
She has just had a new book published. Heal What Hurts.
Maria has been leading Yoga Alliance-accredited teacher trainings since 2015 and has led the yoga teacher training program at Minneapolis College. She is the author of How to Heal Emotional Triggers: Heal what Hurts, published by Llewellyn Worldwide.
