What we’re about
ProductTank is a meetup for product people, by product people.
It provides an opportunity for Product Managers and other product people in Singapore to exchange ideas and experiences about Product Design, Development, User Experience, and all the other things that get us excited. Events include talks from guest speakers, networking opportunities, and a good old chat over a drink or two.
We're open to product people from companies big and small. We especially welcome early stage tech startups looking to learn how to get their ideas off the ground. We also have a blog and encourage the community to get engaged by commenting on or writing new posts: mindtheproduct.com
Finally, check out our upcoming conferences:
• Mind The Product Conference, 17-18 October 2019, London
• Mind The Product Conference, 30-31 March 2020, Singapore

Kickstarting your product growth strategy - from scratch by May Chin
Whether you’re a new hire at a company, or an old hire taking on a new product, the notion of creating a growth strategy from zero can seem incredibly daunting. However, the reality is, there is an objectively correct way to approach this which minimises chances of failure whilst maximising opportunities for learning and course-correcting. Hear it from May, the Head of Product Growth at ZALORA, who has launched numerous products from scratch - and has the battle scars to show for it! She will be sharing with you an extremely simple, tried-and-tested approach which is practical enough for you to apply on your products even as early as tomorrow.About May:
May has historically held ownership and strategic decision making over the growth strategies of multi million-user consumer products, apps and platforms across SEA. Almost 100% of her career has been spent bringing these new products to fruition, and then optimising them towards highly specific success metrics.May's career has spanned major startups in Southeast Asia such as Mindvalley, Lazada, iPrice - where she works on developing products in early-beta, bootstrap mode all the way to maturity. Now, May has joined ZALORA to lead the formation of a new Product growth, experimentation & analytics business unit from scratch.- -
A Low-Tech Method to Improve Alignment with Stakeholders by Alfonso Fiore
As Boz, the CTO of Meta, famously says, "Communication is the job." And let's be honest, sometimes it feels like we're playing a high-stakes version of the telephone game where the original message starts as "strategic initiative" and ends up as "strawberry milkshake." We've all been there—leading the way through the murky waters of miscommunication to find clarity.
In this talk, I'll share a simple tool I've introduced in my projects to help limit these misunderstandings. It makes sure everyone's opinions are heard and understood before making any big decisions. Join me to learn how you can help your product management team stay clear and aligned, ensuring that important plans don't get lost in translation.About Alfonso:
Alfonso is a seasoned product leader with a decade of broad experience across Europe and Asia. His career has been marked by both achievements and setbacks, shaping him into a skilled and humble leader.
Currently, Alfonso is a consultant in Japan's telecommunications sector, where he's dedicated to boosting customer engagement through innovative services and digital products. Previously, he played significant roles in various startups and cherished, well-known consumer brands throughout Southeast Asia, such as Agoda, Grab, AirAsia, and HappyFresh.
Passionate about nurturing talent, Alfonso dedicates time to mentoring emerging product leaders.
