What we’re about
The American Democracy Reading Group is for people who want to understand, explore, critique and improve our American Democracy. We will aim at reading works that will capture the American experience. We will read such things as the founding documents, the American revolution, the Civil War, slave narratives, the US treatment of Native Americans, women's suffrage, civil rights, and labor movements. We will also read philosophical works on democracy and justice. This meetup is for those who care about our democracy and want to help create a more perfect union.
