Are you passionate about experiences and trying new things? Are you longing to try a new outdoor activity or go on an adventure but reluctant to do so because of cost and/or lack of experience? Do you wish you could camp or backpack with girlfriends but don't really know how to pitch a tent or start a fire? Then this is the group for you! If you are afraid to break a nail, or are an extreme and accomplished outdoorswoman, this group probably won't interest you. This group is focused on female bonding, being outdoors and active, and trying new things. As much as we love men and children, this group is really for adult women craving activity, fun and confidence-building experiences, adventure and "me time." Bold Betties are adult women of all ages and come from all walks of life. We have Betties ranging from 18 to 82 years old and we would love for you to JOIN THE MOVEMENT!

San Juan Islands, WA: Multi-day Kayak Trip - June 2-8, 2019

Think that a multi-day paddle trip is only for extreme adventurers? THINK AGAIN Bold Betties is heading to the San Juan Islands in Washington for a week of paddling fun! This adventure is perfect for beginners and experienced paddlers alike! During this adventure you will journey through the dynamic landscape of the San Juans on sea kayak. You'll learn the fundamentals of kayaking, navigation, and camping, and you'll also gain confidence, self-worth, and long lasting friendships with like-minded people! The Destination Nestled between the three great cities of Seattle, Vancouver, and Victoria, British Columbia, are the San Juan Islands. Encompassed by the waterways of Puget Sound, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and Rasario Strait, these islands are often referred to as the “Rain Shadow” of the Olympic Mountains, offering an average of 247 days of sunshine annually. With over 200 rocky, forested islands to explore, the area has become a world-renowned kayaking destination. These pristine waters are host to over 85 resident orca whales. Other treasured wildlife sightings may include minke whales, harbor and dall’s porpoises, seals, river otters, and a variety of birds including auklets and herons. The region also boasts the second-largest bald eagle breeding population in the continental United States. RMNP, CO: Guided Beginner Fly Fishing Weekend - June 21-23, 2019

Here at Bold Betties, we love learning new skills! Especially when we get to learn them in the most beautiful places on earth! This summer we’re taking 5 of our members into Rocky Mountain National Park and teaching you how to Fly Fish! Join us June 21-23, 2019 up in the Rocky Mountains for a beginner friendly Fly Fishing lesson! Our guides from Gear Colorado Fly Fishing will teach you everything you need to know to hook a fish! We keep the guide to student ratio pretty small, 1:3, for a hands on experience that is guaranteed to up your confidence and get you out there! Most beginner classes take place in a classroom or in someone’s backyard. That’s not how we do things here. You’ll get real, on the water experience right from the get go! Nice, France: French Riviera Walking Tour - September 22-28, 2019

This time around, we’re offering a different type of adventure. A slower paced and more mindful adventure in one of the most beautiful places in the world: the French Riviera. Departing from Nice, France, participants will explore the French Riviera with customized itineraries of seaside walking trails and urban sidewalk strolls. Towns included on this adventure are: Nice, Canne, Menton , and Antibes. After lunch, you’ll have the Riviera as your playground each afternoon. This is a walking tour, not a hiking tour. Hiking boots and backpacks are always optional. This is a slower paced adventure, allowing for plenty of time to soak in the incredible scenery of the French Mediterranean. With convenient train and bus stops along the route, you’ll be able to customize your day for longer or shorter walks. We’ll have an orientation meeting in the afternoon to learn about the program, get acquainted, and then head out for a guided walk around Nice of the lively pedestrian areas and Place Massena, and learn our way around. Day 2: The first day of your France walking tour will begin along the famous Promenade des Anglais. Then take in the colors and scents of the Cours Saleya Flower Market.
