Community Mindfulness Project is a secular meditation group, dedicated to the study and practice of a variety of mindfulness and heart-opening practices, based in New Canaan, CT. We welcome new meditators and those with an established practice in any tradition.

Sunday Morning Guided Meditation Zoom/Call

Online event

Start your day with a live, guided meditation. Each 45-minute session is appropriate for first-time meditators and those with long-standing practices. There will be a brief chat about the meditation, a guided meditation and then a chance to share and reflect. People can join by Zoom (camera on or off) or by phone.

Morning Meditation Call

Needs a location

Start your day in community with other meditators. Monday morning calls will offer a guided meditation. Thursday morning calls will be introduced by a facilitator, and then the meditation will be self-guided, allowing you the space to engage in your own personal meditation practice but in a community with others. In all sessions, there will be a brief chat about meditation, a period for practice and then a chance to share and reflect. Total time: 30 minutes.

In Person Mindfulness Session at Ferguson Library

We are thrilled to return to in person community sessions at Ferguson Library!

Sessions are Tuesdays at 12:00pm in the 3rd floor Auditorium.

Ferguson Library requires anyone attending live programs to show proof of vaccination or a negative covid test. Masks are required. CMP facilitators leading in-person sessions are fully vaccinated.

Join us for a secular guided group meditation session appropriate for new and experienced meditators and everyone in between. Each session begins with a brief discussion of the week's practice, followed by a 30 minute guided meditation and then a Q&A session. We look forward to sitting with you!

No need to bring anything, or wear anything special (other than your mask). Meditation is done on chairs, unless you would like to bring your own meditation cushion.
