Big Data, Small Machine (June hardcore bonus meetup)

Details

Hi all,

NOTE: Please refer to the new attendance policy (https://www.meetup.com/DataScience-SG-Singapore/events/228169542/) before RSVP to this meetup.

RSVP will only open on 5th June, Sunday (12pm) and closes on 16th June (12am).

For our June bonus meetup, we're excited to have Adam Drake, CEO / Chief Data Officer of Atazzo. [Warning: This is going to be a hardcore meetup. We will be doing code demos, and talking about generators, iterative methods for learning on large data sets and doing operations on in-memory data structure without locking].

6.45pm-7pm: Networking session [casual; small talk]

7pm-7.45pm: Big Data, Small Machine by Adam Drake. Sypnosis: Datasets too large to fit into RAM are increasingly common, even in simple environments like Kaggle competitions. Adam will introduce some ways of dealing with this issue in addition to demonstrating some scalable machine learning techniques which are production ready and capable of processing over 10s of thousands of events per second on an old laptop. [hardcore].

7.45pm-8.30pm: Networking session [casual; small talk]

[] : Suggested rating and topic; ranges from:
newbie - casual - core - hardcore.
