Code & Coffee
Come join us Code & Coffee on Saturday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm! This is an opportunity for you to practice your skills, meet new friends, and get help if you need it. Bring your laptop, your recent projects, and your programming problems! New to coding? Bring a laptop and get suggestions from organizers and members about where and how to start. NOTE: This is not a class. There is no lecture or topic. This event is here for you to get help with your projects, toss around ideas, or just get social with our amazing members. All are welcome regardless of gender or skill level, whether or not you've attended past Girl Develop It events. Code & Coffee events are relaxed and informal, and are intended as a way for our community to work and play together while providing each other with ongoing support and feedback. Here you should expect to meet our amazing Volunteer Cherian Porter. Cherian is a former HR Business Partner turned UX Designer. She studied UX at General Assembly in Austin where she was able to merge her HR skills and love for design. In addition to being a Software Developer within the oil and gas industry, she works with GDI as a volunteer as well as a student to advance her front-end development skills. She is committed to helping other women transition into tech from non-traditional backgrounds to impact diversity in technology as well as helping others develop skills that can change their lives for the better!
