Thursday Basketball Pickup - British School - 6:30
Join us for pickup basketball on Thursday evenings at one of the nicest courts in Lincoln Park. Our host will check players in, divide players into teams, and make sure that everything runs smoothly. All you have to do is show up ready to play! Space is limited to guarantee plenty of playing time. Note: This location is available starting at 6:00 pm. If you'd like to arrive early to warm up and shoot around, please feel free. Games will begin at 6:30. Play will officially begin at 6:30pm and finish at 8:30. Pricing - The option to pre-pay online will be available when we have enough people confirmed to play. The host will post a comment with instructions when you can pay online. $15 - RSVP online and pay in advance (speedy check-in!) $15 - RSVP and pay cash at the event As of March 2018, each Grab A Game Participant must fill out our online waiver. It only needs to be completed once for all Grab A Game groups and games. If you have not yet filled out this waiver, please complete it before attending this event: What to Wear We are playing indoors on a wood floor. Most players wear basketball shoes, but gym shoes are also allowed. Please bring your shoes and change into them at the facility. This will help keep the floor clean of dirt and water. What to Expect Show up early! The games will begin at the time posted for this event. Players may start checking in with the event host as early as 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. If a court is available, you may begin warming up before the event begins. Level of Play We do our best to create even teams so that games are well-matched. There are no referees, so players need to play with sportsmanship and make their own calls. We aim to make everyone feel welcome at these events. Facility Information Enter through the main entrance. Check in at the front desk and then head up to the fourth floor. A photo ID will be required to enter the building. Transportation Free parking is not available at this facility. Free street parking may be tough to find. Metered street parking is available. A parking garage is available around the corner. If you're taking public transit, it's within walking distance from these stops: Red line - North and Clybourn Stop (2 blocks) 8 Halsted Bus - Evergreen or Blackhawk stops (1 block) Other bus lines running to North and Clybourn: 9, 72, and 132 (2 blocks) check route details. Nearest Divvy Station: About a block away at Blackhawk and Halsted. Minimum number of players and playing formats. This event needs a minimum of 10 people (not including the host) signed up before the start of the event in order to run. An email notification will be sent if we cancel. Refunds or credits will be issued if we cancel the event. Sign up early to encourage more people to sign up! Do Your Part! Help us keep an accurate guest count! If you RSVP, we're counting on you to be there. If you change your mind about playing or your guest count changes, please update your RSVP. No-Shows will be marked on your account. Requirement to play This is an adult basketball group. You must be 19 older. Males and females of all skill levels are welcome to play. There is no required gender ratio. For adult basketball players of all skill levels, our group offers weekly events including pickup games, clinics, and mini-tournaments. Want to play without committing to an entire season? Our group is perfect if you're new in town, just visiting, or have been here for years and want to add a game to your schedule. Grab a Game is also a great way to meet other players or join a team. You will play with friendly people just like you who want a good game while having some fun and improving their skills. We look forward to seeing you on the court!

What can I expect with Grab a Game Basketball?
We welcome new players every week and we love our regulars! A paid host at each event guarantees everything is well-organized and you get the most out of your playing time.

Whether it’s an open gym, clinic, or tournament, please feel comfortable signing up by yourself or with a friend. We work hard to create an atmosphere where you can have fun playing with a bunch of strangers.

Most of our events are open to all skill levels (from beginner to competitive) and we do a great job of creating even teams so that you don’t have to worry about all the beginners on one team and all the pros on another.
