Exercise & Drinking Time!
Let's take a walk around beautiful Lake Merritt as the sun is setting over our fantastic town just before sunset. We'll meet where E 18th St runs into the Lake, at the cool, old white façade, with steps leading down to the fountain in the lake, at 6:45PM. We'll depart from there for a counterclockwise loop at 7PM. It should be about an hour for a leisurely walk around beautiful Lake Merritt, arriving at Portal at 8PM for a drink and some delicious food. The walk is free. You will need to pay for whatever you drink or eat.

If you plan to also come to the happy hour portion afterwards (most of you, I hope!), please RSVP above, so I can get a headcount for Portal. We had about 20 or so for the walk last time, and about 30 for the happy hour last time. There will almost certainly be more folks this time, and we may have the Oakland Happy Hour meetup joining us. There will also be a special beer on happy hour all night! For those who have not been to Portal, it has an awesome outdoor patio with view of Lake Merritt, outdoor heaters, and delicious local beers, wines, and (soju) cocktails! 4 out of 5 stars on Yelp.
I spoke with the manager, and our Lake Merritt Meetup group is being offered their happy hour special ALL NIGHT - just for our meetup group! Even after real happy hour ends! A rotating beer will be only $3 for the evening. The walk is free. You will need to pay for whatever you drink or eat. Looking forward to seeing you there!

The meetup location is .8mi, or about a 15min walk from the Lake Merritt BART station. It's a beautiful walk around the lake!
