What we're about

Hello! Do you need help finding the right volunteer opportunity for you? The Madison Volunteers Meetup is a group specifically designed to help the good hearted volunteer find the most interesting, enjoyable, and memorable experiences while giving their time freely to help others.

Here we post group volunteer opportunities from variety of organizations throughout the Madison area to hopefully peak your interest, and other like minded people as well, to provide camaraderie of good samaritans through which meaningful relationships may flourish. There is no affiliation with any non- profit, community groups or religions. People from all walks of life are encouraged to join and donate their time, skills, and service. There’s no pressure to socialize, the main purpose is to come together, enjoy friendly company, and have some fun volunteering! See you there

Lead a Girl Scout Troop
Needs a date and time

Needs a location

Volunteer with Girl Scouts as a troop volunteer and become a role model for young girls. Start a new troop for interested girls in your neighborhood, church, school, friend group, etc. As the troop volunteer you ultimately get to set the troop's meeting schedule which makes volunteering convenient and flexible for you! We have great materials to help you plan fun activities with your troop too! You can join or start a troop at any time of the year and summer's a great time for fun outdoor activities! Volunteer with Youth at Centro Hispano!
Needs a date and time

Centro Hispano

A message I received as admin. Sharing here: My name is Lauren Deakman & I'm the Director of Youth Programs for Centro Hispano of Dane County. I'm writing to see about getting information on volunteering with our middle & high school kiddos to your members. We started our afterschool youth programs a few weeks ago and are in need of community members to mentor and tutor our Latino students (right now we have about 180 of them!). Who would be the best person to talk to about getting some info out or coming to talk to the group? Any help is much appreciated! :) Lauren Deakman Centro Hispano Director of Youth Programs [masked][masked]

Volunteer at The Brat Stand during every UW football home game (Sept to Nov.)

The Brat stand has been active for over 21 years at every UW Badger football home game. All of the proceeds go to providing wraparound services to support mental health wellness, early childhood home visiting and literacy education, and the prevention of child abuse offered at RISE (formerly Center for Families and Community Partnerships). The success of this stand is the result of dedicated volunteers. The call for volunteers is to help during any or all games. The stand is open for business before, during, and after each home game (unless it is a night game). There are 7 home games in 2017 and volunteer times vary based on actual kick-off time of each game*. Volunteer tasks and times are listed below for each game day. As more game times are announced, we will update the time slots marked as "TBD" (to be determined) with the correct times. Volunteers can choose as many time slots and days as desired! There are five Big Ten games this season so there is lots of fun to be had. It's fun to be part of the Badger Home game atmosphere! Food and drink is included for volunteers! (Responsible use and over the age of 21 for beer) ►Friday, Sept 1 ►Saturday, Sept 9 ►Saturday, Sept 30 ►Saturday, Oct 14 ►Saturday, Oct 21 ►Saturday, Nov 11 ►Saturday, Nov 18 Use this link to signup: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0b4caaab2babfa7-20171 Please note, because alcohol is being sold, children under 18 are not allowed to volunteer during serving hours but could assist in set up and tear down. Volunteers interested in shorter shifts are encouraged to contact Julie at [masked] or by calling[masked]. NOTE: If you are able to volunteer for the full day, be sure to check both time slots for each day. We currently have the day broken out into two shifts but hope to fill all slots for each day.
