This is a cross-collab meetup opporunity to help out with the Madison Area Outdoor Group(MAOG)'s Adopt A Highway Event and besides MAOG will be cross-posted among Madison Volunteers and Madison Social Club so there will be meetup participants from 3 different groups. Regina from MAOG will be the offical host for the event/activity as a whole but I(Chris) will also be attending. As per description she provided below the Packers play the later game this day so there is not a conflict with that. I do plan on going to Momo's(formerly the spot for Reverend Jim's Roadhouse) after for lunch/drinks if people are interested in socializing there after the cleanup event. Meet at 10 am at the bar on Sunday, October 19th. The Packers play after 3 pm so you can still watch the game after this event. We'll carpool to the highway.
In the event weather is an issue we will reschedule.

  1. You must be at least 11 years old to participate.
  2. You must wear vests provided.
  3. You must be careful along the highway.
  4. Bring gloves and wear long pants and shirts.

Minimum of 8 people to it effectively, but can have up to 20 people. If you do not show up we will mark your meetup profile for this group as no show. PLEASE ensure that you also change your RSVP at least two days before if you need to, although we do recognize last minute emergencies.

We will carpool from there to 12/18 to Cty Hwy N. We have that intersection to I90 on Hwy N.
Couple of tips:
Work on only one side of the road at a time. All participants shall wear safety vests. When the Group encounters closed containers or items suspected to be hazardous, these items shall not be touched. Items of serious concern should be noted on the group’s cleanup report.
Call 266-4011 for any questions regarding supplies.
The Group shall not collect during the three-day period beginning the day before and ending the day after Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day, during rush hours, or during inclement weather (rain, fog, ice).
All vehicles at the site shall be parked at least 3 feet from the edge of pavement.
The Group may keep any recyclable materials collected.
