GOOD PEOPLE | gripping tale of class divide | Scarborough Theatre $24
Scarborough Village Theatre, 3600 Kingston Rd, Scarborough, ON, CAJoin us for Good People, a gripping and heartfelt drama about survival, second chances, and the divide between the haves and have-nots.
You can use our promo code to purchase discount tickets for any performance.
THE PLAY: It’s been a rough road for Margie, a single mother living in South Boston. Having just been fired from her job at The Dollar Store, Margie scrambles to find a way for her and her daughter to survive. She decides to contact Mike, an old fling from her high school days, who has become a successful doctor, in the hopes that he (or someone he knows) might have a job for her. As they reconnect, secrets and sacrifices are revealed. Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, David Lindsay-Abaire, has created a “masterpiece of contemporary theatre” that explores the themes of class, morality and resilience. In our world, where the rift between the haves and have-nots grows ever wider, Good People is bound to resonate with today’s audiences.
Recommended for age 14 and up. Some mature language and themes.

DETROIT: MUSIC OF THE MOTOR CITY Soulpepper Concert- - $85 up
Young Centre for the Performing Arts, Distillery District, 50 Tank House Lane, Toronto, ON, CAJoin us for "TDETROIT: MUSIC OF THE MOTOR CITY", a special, limited engagement concert series evening presented by the Soulpepper Theatre Company in Toronto's historic Distillery District.
Our group members will purchase seats online - to enjoy this special evening together.
The Concert: Experience the sound of Detroit's History
Detroit was once called, ‘The City of the Future.' It was built on the innovation of Henry Ford and later gutted by the collapse of the automotive industry. 20th century Detroit is more than the story of collapse and rebirth, it’s also a story of how those pressures created the music that captured the world's attention: ‘The Sound of Young America.'
After a sold-out run in 2023 Soulpepper regulars Andrew Penner and Travis Knights, along with a group of incredible performers will return to the stage to tell the story of this city and its sound. Through the many genres that came out of Detroit (Motown, Jazz, Hip Hop and Detroit Rock to name a few) they'll dive deep into the city’s heart and history; from the assembly line to abandoned factories to the resilient sounds of today’s DetroitAbout Soulpepper Theatre: Soulpepper is considered to be one of the best small theatres in Toronto. It consistently offers professional, high-quality productions. It is also one of the priciest small theatres in the city. Please note a seat is not guaranteed for a rush ticket! More information.

- LUNCH REVIEW: Tour member Ann Tee rated Mary Lou's Cafe 5 stars when she had lunch there 4 months ago: "Our tables were ready and salad/coleslaw and dinner rolls were waiting to be devoured. Then the “good stuff” - platters of hot chicken and roast beef, bowls of creamy mashed potatoes, carrots, scrumptious stuffing and hot gravy quickly followed. Desserts - so many choices of delicious pies and “big” portions completed the meal. The servers were amazing - friendly, efficient and accommodating. They each made us all feel welcome."
