- SOLD OUT | ST. JACOBS: Hilarious play, museum visit, lunch & bus — $199 all feesSt. Jacobs Country Playhouse, Waterloo, ONCA$199.00
UPDATE JUNE 17: This day trip is SOLD OUT. If you would like to attend, sign up to the waitlist and follow the HOW TO PAY instructions below.
Join us for a wonderful day trip to the St. Jacobs area featuring a hilarious play Liars at a Funeral at the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse, a visit to the Castle Kilbride Museum house in Baden to see floriography and handicrafts exhibits dating back to the 1800s, lunch at a steak house in Kitchener and round trip transportation by coach.
Our group will pay $199 everything included. We will have Main Floor seats. Please follow the HOW TO PAY instructions below to pay for your ticket(s).
The Day Trip:
- Our day begins with a guided tour of Castle Kilbride Museum, where you’ll explore an 1878 four-storey house built by James Livingstone, a Canadian Member of Parliament and owner of flax and linseed mills.
- You can browse around the house and view two great exhibits: In Bloom, which delves into floriography — the secret language of flowers, where each bloom and hue carried symbolic meaning, especially popular in the Victorian era — featuring beautiful artifacts from Castle Kilbride’s own collection. You will also see Handicrafted History, with exquisite items dating to 1820, including fashion, furniture, walls and ceiling murals.
- Afterwards, enjoy a delicious lunch at Golf's Steak House & Seafood in Kitchener, where you can choose your own entrée.
- At 2 p.m., take your Main Floor seat for the performance of Liars at a Funeral at St. Jacobs Country Playhouse.
- This new Canadian comedy takes the somber setting of a funeral and flips it into a rollicking adventure of unexpected revelations, outrageous confessions, and riotous family dynamics. When a matriarch’s funeral becomes a dysfunctional family reunion — with surprise twists and hidden identities — it’s a hilarious romp that will have you laughing at the absurdities of family, life, and death.
