Signal Knob Circuit Hike

This is a very pleasant and moderately strenuous circuit hike of a little over 10 miles and 2000 feet of elevation gain. About an hour and a half drive nearly due west of D.C., Signal Knob served as a lookout and signalling outpost during the Civil War. For us, it will be the perfect spot to stop for lunch and enjoy the view.

We will meet at 8:00 a.m. to form our carpool in the East Falls Church Metro Kiss & Ride lot. We will promptly leave at 815.

We’ll make a pit stop at the Sheetz in Haymarket where you can pick up lunch or a snack.

In addition to your hiking gear and plenty of water, please bring $5 for the Adventuring Trip Fee and a $10 carpool fee for your driver.
