What we're about
Upcoming events (4+)
Craft with Craft. Bring the portable CRAFT of your choice and enjoy it alongside CRAFT beer (or whatever) and friendly faces sporting crafty wit*. We're pretty darn fun. For reals, we craft in a bar, so we are nothing like your mama's stitch & bitch.
Knit, Crochet, Cross stitch, or craft whatever lap work you are into at the moment. The lighting is pretty good. Still, you might want to bring an easy project as a backup...because we do craft in a bar!
The Dig Pub has a fantastic craft beer selection, a good wine list, sodas, and tea. They also have a great menu if you want to have dinner. Wednesdays are Wine Wednesdays, where bottles are 1/2 off, or you get $1/ea glass!
One more thing, because we...(say it with us...) "knit in a bar" (* great job * !)...we are not the best group for teaching. If you have learned elsewhere and come to us with specific questions, we might be able to help. If you are brand new to one of the crafts, we recommend you find a class at your local yarn shop.
*We So Punny!
(Pulled from original group's details!!)
Queer crafters of all types are welcome to bring a portable project. We will chat and craft together. Most of our regulars don't check in on Meetup, so come even if no one is signed up.
This crafty conference call is for anyone who's feeling cooped up or can't make it to the physical meetups: let's get together online and get to know each other, swap tips, catch up, and work on some projects! All you need is an interest in crafts and a willingness to talk with some friendly people.
What to Expect - For the first 5 minutes we'll let people trickle in while I help troubleshoot any camera or microphone issues they may be having, then we'll start going around and doing introductions to give everyone a chance to speak. We're pretty informal so feel free to jump in and talk anytime, but otherwise just enjoy the conversation and dedicated crafting time!
Technical Info - You can find a link to the conference call on this Meetup event page once you have submitted your RSVP. Currently we're using Google Meet, once you click the link you can test your webcam and microphone setup before joining the meeting.
