Aloha Sofa surfers & former surfers !!! This unique outing in in 3 parts & is
very easy. It's only on 4 weekends a year. Its also very social & super fun.
***** We meet & carpool from the Petaluma library in front. *******
It's supposed to be pretty warm, but bring a jacket for this part , just in case.
Hiking shoes also .When we leave the ******Dillon beach Mystery rocks & Caves, ****
Then we head inland a bit thru beautiful verdant green hills & valleys!
**** Arriving at the sawmill in time for our lunch under the redwoods ! You
may bring your own or eat there under the tall trees while listening to a
Hawaiian music group.
What's to see here. Don't miss the huge Shire logging horse demonstrations. Really something to see in Action !
Plus all the volunteer demos of all the 1908 steam powered equipment !
***** After the 3 pm closing, we will head up to a mountain top grove
of ancient redwoods To see the wood carved Buddha & if we are lucky,
We may see a colony of little brown Bats in one of the big redwoods .
******** This also may include a stop at the **Wildflour Bread Gardens !
Carpooling, dogs & kids are free. !! Along with snacks , water & more.
All this for a member fee of only $22,00 15.00 for guests ******

Join Destination Earth on a small-group, semi-luxury adventure through Costa Rica.

We'll begin near Arenal Volcano, where we'll explore the rainforest on the Mistico Hanging Bridges, visit Rancho Margot to learn about sustainable farming, and choose between kayaking on Lake Arenal, a wildlife safari float, or a volcano hike.

From there we'll travel by van and boat across Lake Arenal to Monteverde, one of the world's most famous cloud forests. We'll explore the forest with expert naturalist guides, search for wildlife in Curi-Cancha Wildlife Reserve, visit a local artisan cooperative, participate in a conservation program with the Monteverde Institute, and end the day with a traditional Costa Rican cooking class.

Travelers who choose the optional extension will continue to Montezuma on the Nicoya Peninsula, where the itinerary includes Isla Tortuga, bioluminescent kayaking, and free time to enjoy one of Costa Rica's most beautiful coastal regions.
