Join Destination Earth on a small-group, semi-luxury adventure through Costa Rica.We'll begin near Arenal Volcano, where we'll explore the rainforest on the Mistico Hanging Bridges, visit Rancho Margot to learn about sustainable farming, and choose between kayaking on Lake Arenal, a wildlife safari float, or a volcano hike.
From there we'll travel by van and boat across Lake Arenal to Monteverde, one of the world's most famous cloud forests. We'll explore the forest with expert naturalist guides, search for wildlife in Curi-Cancha Wildlife Reserve, visit a local artisan cooperative, participate in a conservation program with the Monteverde Institute, and end the day with a traditional Costa Rican cooking class.
Travelers who choose the optional extension will continue to Montezuma on the Nicoya Peninsula, where the itinerary includes Isla Tortuga, bioluminescent kayaking, and free time to enjoy one of Costa Rica's most beautiful coastal regions.
