Practicing Yoga is a practice of harmonizing with the world around you using the 8 limb path that has been passed down through the Yoga Sutras (threads) for thousands of years. The 8 limbs are tried and true, but the way we harmonize changes as civilizations change which is why religions from around the world have adopted Patanjali’s Yoga as a science that describes how to optimize the human experience.
I'm excited to offer this online class that can be taken from anywhere you can set you phone up and join. All my classes turn I to a self study practice where I use verbal cues to teach a yoga class where you can just listen and move. I will offer demonstrations when new sequences are introduced, making this a interactive class. Have your video on, bring your yoga mat and a smile to each class.

Yoga is a practice of transforming and benefiting every aspect of life, not just the 60 minutes spent on a rubber mat. This workshop is designed to help you find the ultimate freedom (moksha) in nourishing your body, known as FOOD FREEDOM. Join Irene Vlasi for a deeper dive into NUTRITION through the lense of the 8 limb path.
The word ‘yoga’ means to connect or ‘yoke’. The thing we look to connect to is the true Self, ‘ultimate self'. If that way of thinking doesn’t resonate with you, then consider that the word yoga can also mean separation or disentanglement. The thing we’re disentangling from is whatever stops us from feeling free, as the ultimate goal of any yoga practice is to attain moksha, meaning liberation or freedom. In this workshop, I'm talking about Food Freedom.
This 90 minute workshop will look Nutrition & Yoga through the lense of the 8 limbs of yoga. So how does one go about attaining this freedom through yoga? Does it come at the cost of an expensive pair of yoga pants? Can you reach it by signing up to a detox retreat or finally touching your toes? Probably not…Yoga is a practice of transforming and benefitting every aspect of life, including our relationship with food. If we can learn to be kind, truthful and use our energy in a worthwhile way, we will not only benefit ourselves with our practice, but everything and everyone around us.
