CamCreatives: Monthly meetups in Cambridge where creativity matters — with guest speakers, panels, interviews and plenty of conversation.
CamCreatives is a community for anyone with a creative mindset — whether you paint, design, code, write, perform, invent, or simply love new ideas.
Each month we host a relaxed evening with invited guests — artists, designers, technologists, writers, makers, and more. Sometimes it’s a talk, other times an interview or a panel. Whatever the format, you’ll always find inspiration, honest insights, and plenty of time to meet new people over a drink.
When: Third Tuesday of every month
Where: The Blue Moon, Norfolk Street, Cambridge
We’re a welcoming, curious crowd, and new faces join us every month. You won’t be the only newbie, and you don’t need to be a “professional creative” to come along. If you’ve got a story to share or a speaker to suggest, we’d love to hear from you.
CamCreatives is about connection, collaboration, and celebrating the many ways creativity shapes our lives.

Vic Lee: Laughing while crying
The Blue Moon, 2 Norfolk Street, Cambridge, GBIf you remember Izal toilet paper from school, you're probably still a little traumatised. Artist and storyteller Vic Lee certainly is - and he’s turned that experience into creative gold (or at least, a lesson in not taking life too seriously).
Vic is a London-based muralist, typographer, author and self-described ragamuffin who’s painted everything from supercars to cruise ships, whisky bottles to bald heads.
After a career as a graphic designer, he took the leap into full-time artistry and has since worked with brands like Nike, McLaren, M&S, Virgin Atlantic, Google and J.P. Morgan.
In this talk, Vic will share how he went from agency life to international mural commissions, the stories he’s gathered along the way, and what a certain school toilet paper taught him about life, resilience, and creative mischief.
“What did I learn from Izal? Don’t take life too seriously. Things will get better and shit happens. You may not be able to control it at times, but it’s how you deal with it after.”
Expect wit, wisdom, and a bit of shenanigans.

The CamCreatives Christmas Quiz 2025
The Blue Moon, 2 Norfolk Street, Cambridge, GB’Tis the season for silly challenges, questionable trivia, and questionable prizes. The CamCreatives Christmas Quiz is back — our fourth festive gathering at The Blue Moon!
Expect an evening of creative mischief: quirky team tasks, a quiz with more laughs than logic, and plenty of snacks to keep the ideas (and the mulled wine) flowing.
We’ll also be supporting a local charity on the night — details to come — so you can do a little good while having a lot of fun.
