Ok, I know this isn't t'ai chi, but it's still chinese martial arts and we're all family. smile It should be a really great show. The info taken from the website follows below. You can get tickets from ticketmaster, from the various locations which are listed on the website. If you have any questions how to get tickets, ask me.

*This ONE TIME EVENT will feature Shaolin Kung Fu and Qigong feats by masters traveling to Chicago from the Shaolin Temple in Henan, China.

*Tickets are available at Ticketmaster and are $35 - $45. VIP packages and sponsorship slots are available for a higher cost.

*Tickets will also be available at our various locations.

*Bus transportation will be available from Southside Chinatown (Archer/Wentworth) to Aurora for a $5 fee.

*Revenues will support Shi Yan Ju's dream of buying a bigger building to permanently house the Chicago Shaolin Temple.

This performance will feature Shi Yan Lu, the deputy monk at the Shaolin Temple in Henan, China. Master Shi Yan Lu has been invited on numerous occasions to perform and teach in several countries in Asia, Europe and the Americas. In 1998, he won the gold medal at the International Wushu Performing Meeting in Toronto, Canada. For the past ten years, he has been the assistant of his Shifu, the Venerable Abbot of Shaolin, Master Shi Yong Xin.

In 2003, Shi Yong Xin officially named Shi Yan Lu the Master instructor of the Warrior Monks of Shaolin (Wu Seng), the highest recognition for a monk in Shaolin. He is the manager of the external schools of the Temple (there are three). He wishes to unify the teaching of Shaolin Kung Fu worldwide with an official ranking system created and authorized by the Shaolin Temple.

This is a not-to-be-missed event for Chicago Shaolin Temple students and anyone in the Chicagoland area interested in martial arts.
