Oktoberfest in Fredericksburg - Music, Dancing, and Bavarian Fun!

Break out the dirndl or lederhosen—Oktoberfest in Fredericksburg isn’t just a festival, it’s an experience you want to live, not just watch. The moment you step onto Marktplatz in full Bavarian style, you’re part of the scene: dancing to five stages of nonstop oompah music, feasting on bratwurst, pretzels, and schnitzel, and sampling over 50 beers and wines from Texas and beyond. Sure, you can enjoy it in regular clothes, but trust me, going all in transforms the day into something unforgettable.

Every fall, Fredericksburg’s Marktplatz transforms into the Texas Hill Country’s biggest celebration of German heritage. For one weekend only, the square comes alive with:

• Five stages of live music from morning to night, featuring oompah bands, polka, and dancing
• Delicious German food—bratwurst, schnitzel, pretzels, and more
• Over 50 varieties of beer (American, Texas craft, and imported) plus local wine from Texas Wine Country
• Unique arts & crafts vendors and one-of-a-kind shopping
• A Kinderpark with games, activities, and entertainment for younger festival-goers
