We are the biggest, most active, and most inclusive MeetUp community in Jakarta...

Jakarta Friends is the community to meet new people while doing unique activities in Jakarta. We play board games, talk business, socialize, eat and drink together, do language exchanges, explore the city by walking and culinary tours, and much more! It's all about authentic connections in an uncomplicated and informal setting.

Together, we are creating an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome. This group is a convergence of people and cultures.
Over the past 1,5 year, we have had more than 150 events with over 1,500 attendees. Everyone should always feel welcome to join disregarding from their ethnicity, nationality, religion, creed, age, language skills, gender identification, sexual orientation, background, ability, income, social status, or any other arbitrary trait.
From September 2024, we have a yearly membership fee to join our events. The membership fee is not expensive and gives access to all events + exclusive perks! There's so much more value to members than having an event fee. We guarantee keep organising plenty of events and the fee is refundable if the group closes down or if there are no events for more than three months. You can attend the first event for free and take a look!

ABOUT THE EVENT
It's Firday night! Let's have the most delicious Neapoletan pizza in Jakarta at Pizzeria Zapoli in MENTENG. This is a new outlet from Zapoli and around the corner of MRT Bundaran HI.
Neapoletan pizza means soft dough and simple ingredients. The pizza is cooked in a typical wood-fire oven for just a few minutes, and the ingredients remain very fresh.

The menu isn't big; the quality is. Pizza starts at around 70k up to around 140k. Pizzeria Zapoli have artisanal soda which is refreshing with the salty, spicy pizza.
The place is 100% Halal. On their Instagram I read "no reservation" and "BYOB" (and your own glass with it). We might need to wait a bit to get a seat.
The restaurant closes at 10 PM and after dinner we can go together to have a drink in a place nearby (location to be decided together).
The place is small, and attendance to this event is limited to 6 persons. If you cannot join, please update your RSVP at least 24h before the event as respect to the organiser and people in the waitlist. No-shows will be kicked out of the group.
Be on time as we want to eat together. Do not be early as we want to eat together. Just come and enjoy the company of new and old Jakarta Friends. Everyone is welcome to join.
As no reservation is possible, we might need to wait a bit until a table big enough for us will be free. From experience, this should not take long.
HOW TO REGISTER TO THE EVENT?
To register, just click “Attend”! There are a few simple rules
- We kindly ask attendees who cannot manage to join to update RSVP at least 24 h before the event as a courtesy to other attendees and event organisers.
- Don't be late! We want to eat together. Don't be early! We want to eat together.
- People in the waitlist cannot attend, and are encouraged to check a few hours before the event to see if they got a spot
- No show at this event without updating RSVP = removal from the group.

WE HAVE A MEMBERSHIP FEE. HOW DOES IT WORK?
Our community has a membership fee of 300k IDR valid for 365 days after payment. Membership fee is offered with a promo discount to new members and first-timers, who can become members for 220k IDR/year. First-timers can decide to attend one event for free and see if they like becoming part of this community.
Membership to both Jakarta Friends and Jakarta Creatives is offered for only 390k IDR/year. Membership gives access to all events plus exclusive perks available only to paying members, like for example our Give Away Birthday Celebrations with lucky draw (Sept 2024) or FREE pasta cooking (and eating 😉) workshop (Nov 2024) or Museum visits with FREE GUIDED TOURS (Sept 2024). To many events, attendees can bring a +1 for free.
First-timers can decide to attend one event for free and see if they like becoming part of this community. Membership can be paid on the spot (cash/bank transfer/Gopay). Text Corrado (+62 89211 489 3580) if you have any questions about membership.
To all members we guarantee to keep organizing plenty of events. You will receive a full refund if the group closes down, or if there’s no event happening in three months.

It's very simple: We will meet and enjoy food with this POTLUCK. Everyone should bring some food and drink to share with others. Try to bring something specific from your country/region to share with everyone and get them to know some new food! Please clearly mark which food is halal/non-halal/contains alcohol/contains allergens, and think about vegetarians and vegan options, too! Write in the comments what you plan to bring so that others can bring something else.This is a free event for all "old" and new Jakarta Friends! Come along or bring a +1. The more the merrier!

You can find Teras Tebet on Google: https://maps.app.goo.gl/jFJXHqJkgvt6n45n8Teras Tebet is a lovely and cozy, family-owned warung-style restaurant in Tebet. It's really near Ecopark Tebet and the train station Cawang. We encourage everyone to arrive by public transportation as much as possible!
The location is not big and places are limited. Reserve your spot today!

- Feel free to arrive anytime, although latecomers are not guaranteed to be able to see the pasta cooking demonstration or get food, if they arrive too late

- Repeated no-show (3X) without updating RSVP will be removed from the group.
- Please do not cancel a few hours before the event as this is unfriendyl for other attendees, organisers, and the venue. Cencelling a few hours ahead only in exceptional circumstances, otherwise it counts as no-show!
