About us

Louisville Science Cafés are live—and lively—events that feature an engaging conversation with a professional scientist about a current science topic. Because our events take place in casual settings such as pubs, and are open to everyone, each café encourages conversation, debate, and interaction. Louisville Science Café welcomes people who may or may not typically get involved with scientific discussions. Our goal is science outreach with an emphasis on bridging the gap between scientists and the public.

Louisville Science Café is the Kentuckiana chapter of www.sciencecafes.org and is affiliated with Nova Science Now, and Sigma Xi. Louisville Science Cafés are free and open to the public, you just run your own tab at the pub, and consider giving a small donation to help pay expenses.
