Bookings essential - please visit https://mmhartist.com/product/costumed-fantasy-life-drawing-workshop-26th-may-6-30pm/ for tickets. $35 per person, or book 2 tickets and save $10! Life drawing has long been a foundational practice of classical art and is regarded as the best way to learn to draw the human form. However, most life drawing classes focus on static poses without intention or meaning. These are great for learning human anatomy, but what do they tell you about the character? Teaming up with our talented life models, you will learn traditional life drawing techniques with a focus on capturing models with props, armour, and costumes in fantastical and story driven poses. **In this class, you will:** * Be guided through a fantasy-themed life drawing class with a costumed model * Learn figure drawing techniques * Gain an understanding of human anatomy and how it interacts with a variety of materials * Learn how to effectively pose characters to convey meaning and story **What to bring:** * Your preferred paper and drawing materials, but basic materials are available if needed. * Your awesome self. All skill levels welcome! **What you’ll get:** * An understanding of anatomy, drawing, and posing * Your own artworks to take home * A great experience with likeminded people, hosted in a magical space

2026 DRONE SHOW, VIVID WALK & 50% off WINGS, RIBS, DRINKS!!!

2026 DRONE SHOW, VIVID WALK & 50% off WINGS, RIBS, DRINKS!!!

Mon, May 25, 7:45 AM
From WE HIKE. WE WALK... to the BAR. Social Sessions in Sydney
4.9

VIVID is back, and the drone show should be cool! Let's do it on a Monday - one of the least crowded days of the week... and we'll finish at my local pub as Monday's offer half-priced wings, ribs, and drinks (optional, as you may want to get home). **THE HIKE.** Let's meet on the grass at **Barangaroo House**. I'll post a pin in Google Maps on the day so you can find me... **545pm**. The ferry from Barangaroo to Circular Quay runs at 554pm, and it will be a perfect shot on the water for Sydney Opera House pics when it lights up at 6pm on the dot. If you're late, meet us at Circular Quay at 615pm as we jump off. *We'll get dropped at CQuay, and see Customs House, the MCA, Syd Opera House, etc... all the way to Barangaroo, King St Wharf, and the drone show starts at 730pm finishing at 740pm. It will be crowded and hard to keep the group together, so make your own way to Sporting Globe by 4Pines. I'll already be at the table.* **Sporting Globe is my local pub, so I'll grab a table... 50% off wings, ribs, selected pints, and house wine. What a deal!!! 24 wings should be like $22, so if everybody brings $11 cash, I'll order a bunch of wings / flavours at 745pm - they'll be on the table as you arrive at the pub - just make sure everybody gets their 12 - it's def enough (if you want wings, that is).** So we get to the drone show on time, I'll move at just under 4kms per hour - it's up to you to keep up. I'll post my location in live Google Maps, and all hikers must join our **[WHATSAPP GROUP HERE](https://chat.whatsapp.com/C2nbnKJ5WJo5aenEREmOFB)** (please note, I'll keep this whatsapp for the week after hike(s), so *exit it / silence it* is my advice once you complete your hike - or use it to see other hikers' cool pics). 4kms per hour is pretty slow so we can take pics, chat, laugh, and feel free to bring a roadie drrink if you fancy... Again, it's up to you to keep the pace and not get lost. **THE RULES.** a) Be on time. Honour your RSVP... or ban is likely. b) $10 Cash or PayID gratuity. c) Bring good energy, laughs, and... keep up with the pace! See you for a fun one. MJ
