Fleet Street in London has a grim history - it is named after the River Fleet , one of London's filthiest and most dangerous rivers. Dickens based Fagin's lair along the river in "Oliver Twist" . The river has long since disappeared but the legends remain , including the tale of a bloody barber and his murderous assistant. Join actor and tour guide Nick Richmond for a dark journey through the bloody streets of London in search of Sweeney Todd, tracing his Victorian roots in the Penny Dreadful's to the musical version by Sondheim and the Tim Burton film from 2007. We will all walk from Arundel to Amberley village together past the castle markets through Amberley castle to the roof top lounge in Amberley for lunch (about 9km) Option 1: Some can stay on the roof top and relax for the afternoon. 'From Ballet to Burials & Trains to Tennis' – Discover Baron’s Court Guided Walk

Come along on Sunday 17th May for a Blue Badge Guided Walk around historic Baron's Court! Blue Badge Guides know London better than anyone. They have trained intensively for two years and passed the highest Tourist Guiding qualification in the UK. **About the walk** Situated between Kensington and Hammersmith this attractive conservation area was built up during the late Victorian period and retains many interesting examples of domestic architecture. Discover purpose built artists’ studio houses, the former home of the Royal Ballet, one of London’s leading drama schools, the famous Queens tennis club, a teaching hospital and a former burial ground with an unusual name. We’ll hear about the notable people who have passed through the area including an aviator, authors, a world famous political leader, actors and dancers.
