Germany's smallest national park has formed an image of unspoilt wilderness. More than 100 moors, lakes, springs and streams are framed by venerable beech forests. * **White Chalf Cliffs:** The glowing white rocks consist of 70 million year old chalk. Nature has piled them up from the skeletons of countless single-celled creatures that the Cretaceous sea once left there. The highest point of the chalk coast is the Königsstuhl, which towers 118 meters above the beach. * **Sassnitz:** Sassnitz is a resort town on the German island of Rügen.
