Human City Walk - Boxhagener Kiez - slow walk, local stories, no networking

Human City Walk - Boxhagener Kiez - slow walk, local stories, no networking

Sat, Aug 15, 1:00 PM
From The Human City Club

💼🧠 Neurodivergent Co-working & Networking 💬🌈

This **coworking and networking** meetup is for neurodivergent people to get our tasks/projects/work done and to connect with other neurodivergent, whether for focus work or just finding someone who understands what you’re working on. **PLEASE READ THE EVENT DESCRIPTION BELOW:** So we can be self-accountable for our own comfort. **Location:** Werkräume inside Humboldt Forum https://maps.app.goo.gl/Jw5totHbQadfsJsE8 The **exact area** of Werkräume where we cowork will be updated in the **pinned comment on the event page**, as it is a public space and we cannot reserve a specific spot. **How to find Werkräume:** * Go to the **Main Building**. * **If you are starting from the Front Desk:** Find the large escalator on your RIGHT behind the front desk. Go up to the 1st floor (one level above ground floor). * **If you are starting from the Humboldt Bistro:** go to the **main buildin**g. Find the escalator on your LEFT and go up to the 1st floor (one level above ground floor). * **Final Destination:** On the 1st floor, look for the Werkräume sign. * **NOTE:** ask the staffs where the Werkräume is instead of the neurodivergent co-working. **What to expect:** * We usually use **[Pomodoro method](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomodoro_Technique).** **When you are late** and the session has started, just take a seat and start working until break time. * However, **feel free to work with how you are most comfortable with.** What's important is, we all become accountability buddies. ✨ **Notes:** 1. **This a public place so bring your sensory management tools (earphone, stim toys, etc).** We can´t control the environment if there are other groups having their activities. 2. **The Werkräume can't be reserved** so we will all help each other by occupying the seats. 3. The place has wifi, locker and toilet. 4. The space has power plugs, but only in specific areas. Please ensure your devices are charged before coming. 5. **Food & drink:** there is a Bistro but pricey. Feel free to bring your own. **IMPORTANT:** No eating in the Werkräume. Use the public visitor seating instead. 6. **Bring a coin for the locker.** Security may ask you to store bags in the lockers outside the Werkräume. 7. **PLEASE EDIT YOUR RSVP if you can't come.** This helps us better manage the coworking session. Your update is much appreciated. 8. **DISCLAIMER: All organizers are volunteers who are neurodivergent individuals.** We ask you to **be kind to us** and for your **support in making the event an enjoyable** for everyone. **Till then busy bees!**

✨ Neurodivergent Speedfriending

✨ Neurodivergent Speedfriending

Sat, Aug 29, 1:00 PM
From Berlin Neurodivergent Community
4.8

🌈 **This is an event for neurodivergent people who are looking to make new friends.** **READ THE EVENT DESCRIPTION below for everyone's comfort.** This is **NOT A DATING EVENT**. **LOCATION:** **The meetup map is not acurate, go to this google map link and find th neurodivergent sign:** [https://maps.app.goo.gl/u9rygDgU8ADDR6Ec6](https://maps.app.goo.gl/u9rygDgU8ADDR6Ec6) If the weather is bad, we will reschedule it. **Bring picnic blanket or seating mat**. We need it to mark the seats on the park. **What to expect** * **Rounds:** there will be 19 rounds with 5-minutes each (including the seat change). When the bell rings, it's time to switch. * **Instruction:** you will be given instruction on how the Speedfriending goes. * **Half time break**: 10 minutes break after the 10th rotation * **Total:** 1,5 hours (excluding break) * **Latecomers:** ask the organizers to be seated. But please come on time to listen to instruction and avoid confusion. * **Breaks:** you can take a break or leave anytime. * **Ice breakers:** Each participant gets a sticker to write their names and topics of interest. Each picnic blanket will get stimming toys and conversation cards. * **REPETITION:** the event is flexible, hence you will meet the same people at least once. * **After speedfriending hangout**: event is officially done and everyone is free to socialize. **What is expected from participants?** * **BE KIND AND PATIENT TO THE ORGANIZERS:** All hosts are neurodivergent volunteers. Please talk to us kindly and be patient—we are also prone to dysregulation. If you are rude or repeatedly overstep boundaries, we will unfortunately ask you to leave. * **Use your discernment in participating:** \- This event means participants will move around and meet new people in a public area\. \- There will be noises from the train passing by\. \- There will be noise from other participants\. We've spaced out the blankets\, but wider gaps aren't possible without making the line too long and unmanageable\. * **Avoid sensitive topics:** such as politics or any topic that should come with a Trigger Warning. * **Respect Boundaries:** If someone seems uncomfortable, change the subject. If unsure, **ask**. * **Respect Time Limits:** When the bell rings, please move to the next spot. * **Follow Up Respectfully:** only ask for someone's contact during the event, not afterwards (we've had previous complaints) * **Manage your own comfort:** bring food & drinks, bring sensory management tools (eyeglasses, headphones, etc) ✨ **We can't wait to see you there and hope you make some amazing new friends.** 💬
