Snorkeling at Freshwater Beach

Freshwater is a beautiful beach just North of Manly. As it is an open beach, it will be subject to surf conditions, and would not be suitable for absolute beginners even in very calm conditions. That being said, we can have Fairlight Beach as a back up plan if it is too rough. We can meet in the car park above the ocean pool at 11am and make a decision once we see what it is like. Oak Park to Salmon Haul Bay Snorkel.

**Snorkelling from Oak Park to Salmon Haul Bay, Cronulla.** We can meet at the end of Jibbon Street at 11.00am. [https://goo.gl/maps/cpP8w1NDVv52](https://goo.gl/maps/cpP8w1NDVv52) This time is close to the peak of the high tide where the visibility should be at its best and the current at its lowest. Feel free to stay around Oak Park if you don't feel confident with the snorkel to Salman Haul Bay. Or if it is rough there, feel free to walk round to Salmon Haul Bay where it is much more protected and meet us there. Last year was indeed too rough. but we still enjoyed a snorkel at both locations, however we walked between the two. It's an easy entry point to the right of the rock pool. We can explore here for awhile before we head off on our journey. Once we reach our destination we can again explore for awhile then head back to Oak Park via the costal walking track. We can grab a coffee and something to eat after at a nearby cafe. Or follow the path to Cronulla. Looking forward to seeing you there. Classic Harbour Walk - Watson’s Bay to Circular Quay – 16km

**Classic Sydney Harbour Walk - Watson’s Bay to Circular Quay – 16km** We catch the ferry from **Circular Quay Wharf 2, Side B** to Watson's Bay where we strike off for Parsley Bay, Vaucluse, Nielsen Park, Shark Bay and the Hermitage Walk through to **Rose Bay** where we stop for our lunch break. We then knock off the suburbs of Point Piper (very posh, indeed!), Double Bay, Point Piper, Rushcutters Bay (quick bathroom break), Elizabeth Bay, Potts Point and Woolloomooloo before heading for the Domain where we access the Royal Botanic Garden and tramp on through to the Opera House, that Bridge and the heart of the World's most beautiful City!!! **Distance:** 16 km **Type of Walk:** Well-formed pathways through a spectacular slice of harbourside Sydney. **Difficulty:** Medium. There are many get out points. **Walking Pace:** We will average about 4.5 km per hour. **Meeting Place and Transport:** We meet at Wharf Two, Side B, Circular Quay at 9:40 am, with our Ferry departing at 9:45 am arriving at Watsons Bay at 10:08 am. For all ages - most of the people that came to our events are in their 20s & 30s. If you are beginner, please don't hesitate to ask our organisers for quick run down of passing and serving. Rose Bay to Watsons Bay Circuit Walk (14km) Easy-Grade 1

This walk combines the Hermitage Foreshore Track from Rose Bay to Parsley Bay in Vaucluse with the Coastal Cliff Walk via Watsons Bay and South Head. Meeting up outside Rose Bay Wharf, we begin the walk to the Hermitage Foreshore Track which we follow to shark beach at Nielsen Park. We then continue through Parsley Bay Bridge to Watsons Bay where we have lunch at Robertson Park (option to exit the walk at Watsons Bay ferry wharf). After lunch we do the South Head loop walk around the Hornby Lighthouse to the famous `Gap` with cliff top views out to the Pacific Ocean on the one side and Sydney Harbour and the city on the other. We then follow the Coastal Cliff Walk past Macquarie Lighthouse finishing the walk down the road back at Rose Bay ferry wharf. TRANSPORT OPTION: 9:45am ferry from Circular Quay Wharf 2, Side B, arriving at Rose Bay Wharf at 9:57am. BRING: 2 litres of water, snacks, lunch, first aid kit, rain gear, sun protection. Medium: Stairs, rocks, coastal beaches/sand, ups, downs, get out points limited, up to 17kms
Medium-Hard: uneven surfaces, need to take extreme care and be hike fit. Few get out points. Tracks, uneven surfaces, steep inclinations and limited resources. 🌸👯‍♀️🌸 WALKING GUIDELINES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 🌸✍️🌸 Carry sufficient food and water (2 litres) for the expected conditions of the walk. **Unique Walks:** Don't miss this beautiful and scenic adventure with interesting variations! It’s fantastic! Enjoy the day! Let’s do it! This is NO wishy washy walk, it's full of excitement! Start from **Circular Quay**, up the stairs through **"The Rocks"**, over the **Sydney Harbour Bridge**, down to **Kirribilli**, camera's get ready, **Bradfield Park**, past **Luna Park**, be exited and amazed as we cut through **Wendy's Secret Garden**, an eye-opening experience! We might meet **Wendy** who lives next to the garden. **Next:** interesting **Quibaree Park** in **Lavender Bay**, past **Lloyd Rees Lookout**, possible wedding at beautiful **Blues Point Reserve**, then **Sawmillers Reserve** with a rusty shipwreck in the sand, no kidding!!, yes true! View "Living Seawalls". **Secret Pathways** along **"Boatbuilder Walk"** towards **Waverton Park**. **Berry's Bay Lookout** and **Will Aston Lookout**, then we reach the really exciting and famous **Coal Loader**! Walk through the Museum. With wit, humour, my walking tours are really fun. I'm certain you won't say "are we there yet" because the socialising and my chitter chatter will keep the walk lively. From here we walk our butts up to **Waverton Station** (option to leave walk) then **Peace Park**, then **Brendan Park**, to **Harry Howard Reserve**. **Wollstonecraft**, next, **Smoothly Park** through to **Newlands Park**, then we are definitely just about there. Last stop, **St Leonard's Station**, Let's grab a bite. Shops galore! & Pub! **Meeting Point:** Outside Customs House Square. Come See! **October Long Weekend**, Saturday!, the prefect start & Sunday-&-Monday-walks! **WHY WALK?** 1\. "Spring" into action\! Live the walking dream\, pump the heart\, boost your life 13km\. 2\. Walking increases blood flow to the brain\, improving memory almost instantly\! 3\. Healthy\, makes you happy\, feel good feeling\, live longer guaranteed\. **THE WALK!** (slightly harder than many of my other walks!) 1\. Artarmon Station\, tracks from start\, no streets\! zigzag through Artarmon Reserve\. 2\. Prentice Park gets our attention while following Flat Rock Creek to Hallstrom Park\. 3\. Look out for Henry Lawson Cave on our way to Flat Rock Gully\. 4\. Next direction misses the usual track called Wilksch Track\. We go go differently\. 5\. My sneaky original back lane hideaway track will surprise you\, it's a secret\, haha\! 6\. Many exciting tracks near Northbridge Oval\. Let's walk the edge of the golf course\. 7\. Bushwalking along Northbridge Golf Club\, hidden tracks\, rocky downhill to Hubla Stairs\. 10\. Long bush/rocky track around Willoughby Bay\, exciting and fun\. 11\. After reaching Tunks Park at last\, we hit some hills/tracks up to Cammeray Golf Club\. 12\. We slide past Anzac Park to St Leonards Park and North Sydney Oval\. 13\. Victoria Cross Metro Station 200 metres away or North Sydney Station a little further\. 14\. Easy: Mainly flat, suburban, loads of get out points, up to 14kms.
Easy-Medium: some stairs, a few uneven surfaces, up to 15kms.
Medium: Stairs, rocks, coastal beaches/sand, ups, downs, get out points limited, up to 17kms
Medium-Hard: uneven surfaces, need to take extreme care and be hike fit. Few get out points. Tracks, uneven surfaces, steep inclinations and limited resources. 🌸👯‍♀️🌸 WALKING GUIDELINES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 🌸✍️🌸 Carry sufficient food and water (2 litres) for the expected conditions of the walk. Pls don’t separate from the group, unless you let someone know, preferably me. The waitlist is completely discretionary….reliable regulars will ALWAYS be included. 🆗……….If you are a no show, you will not be welcome to join a future walk with me. (It’s a courtesy kind of thing). If people are on the waitlist, it is also very inconsiderate.
