Ballona Wetlands - family-friendly walk

Los Angeles Audubon Society hosts the *Open Wetlands* event at the Ballona Wetlands Ecological Reserve with the collaboration of NNI staff. Binoculars are available to borrow! Volunteers guide visitors in viewing aquatic invertebrates through microscopes, learning about the unique ecosystems found at Ballona, and viewing birds through powerful spotting scopes along Ballona Creek. Enter through the gate in the northeast corner of the parking lot behind the 300 block of Culver Blvd in Playa del Rey (zip code 90293). "We Outside!" Santa Monica Beach Group Workout (4th Saturday)

**Our weekly group workouts at the beach are a dynamic blend of high-energy circuit training designed to sculpt your body and ignite your spirit, perfect for our vibrant Los Angeles community.** *** \-\-\- Every session harnesses the power of the ocean breeze and sand underfoot\, pushing you through full\-body exercises that build strength\, endurance\, and resilience while fostering camaraderie among participants\. We do "bodyweight" training for our circuits. We string together exercises that target different muscle groups using your own body as resistance, like push-ups (chest, shoulders), squats (legs), planks (core), burpees (full body), and mountain climbers (cardio).
