If you've ever thought about trying Dragon boating, this is your moment. Grab a paddle, jump in our 12m long boat and use it to propel the boat across Iron Cove with up to 20 other paddlers. This free session will focus on technique, rhythm, and having fun. It’s a low-impact way to build core strength and cardiovascular health without the solo grind of a gym. 🌲 Penrose and Belanglo State Forests are one of the most well-known forests in NSW, given its location on either side of the Hume Highway just over an hour from Sydney. A pine forest, Penrose and Belanglo also features a flora reserve.
🌲 Forests in this area are a mixture of pine plantations and native forests. The first radiata pines were planted in this area in Belanglo State Forest in 1919. Today, there are around 3,500 hectares of commercial pine plantations in the southern highlands with timber being processed at a local mill.

🌅 Sydney Harbour Sunset Walk - Wynyard to Martin Place via everywhere ~ 9 KM

**This evening walk covers around 9 kilometres through streets, reserves and most of the harbour around Sydney CBD!** Be aware that this 2-hour walk is moderate-paced (5km/h) with brief stops and a few inclines; good fitness is recommended. **Here's what you need to know:** * **Start time:** 4:30 PM sharp, please arrive 10 min early, host cannot take calls/messages for safety reasons. * **Meeting point:** Wynyard Station, York St, Stand N. Finish Martin Place station/metro or Bar Luca. * **Route:** We'll begin by heading to Wulugul walk towards Barangaroo reserve for a short break, and continuing to the Rocks - Circular Quay and Botanic Garden. Further trail will lead us to Mrs Macquarie's Chair and coming back finish near the Martin Place Station/Metro by approximately 6:30 PM - we're planning to visit Bar Luka for anyone staying for dinner. * **What to bring:** Comfortable shoes (uneven terrain possible in some areas), charged phone or torch/headlamp for dark sections towards finish, water (refills available), and weather-appropriate clothing. * **Gratuity:** A $5 contribution is appreciated to help cover our Meetup subscription and group running costs. If you say you’re coming, you’re coming. Why? Because commitment is the only “fee” we charge. No drama, no flakes — just good people and good football. On any sailing day, there may also be my regular crew or people I have introduced through the Facebook Crew Finder. However, my small yacht never carries more than four in total. If the event is full make sure you join the wait list I move people around to going if there really keen and learning well or if someone drops out 1. AS IM LOOKING FOR GENUINE PEOPLE WANTING TO LEARN HOW TO SAIL WHICH WILL TAKE SOME MONTHS PREFER PEOPLE STAYING IN SYDNEY AT LEAST 12 MONTHS EVEN BETTER IF YOU LIVE HERE 2. IF YOUR NOT COMING TO LEARN GO ON A FERRYTHIS ISNT A ONE DAY SIGHT SEEING TRIP 3. For safety reasons, you must be able to SWIM OR AT LEAST FLOAT and be comfortable on water. 4. ITS VERY SELDOM SOMEONE WOULD FALL IN ONE IN FORTY YEARS. 5. 5,Also for safety reasons, you must be able to understand and speak English to enable you to react quickly to a whole new vocabulary of words that you will need to learn 6. Finally you must be less the 75kg and prefer crew to early 40s Each Sunday I run training days to find ONGOING CREW. I'm looking for people LATE TEENS THROUGH TO EARLY 40s who are looking for a fun, competitive sport. Unfortunately I need to make decisions that are best for my boat as, when racing, I only carry a crew of 4, who MUST be fit and agile. This is vital to enable you to move quickly around a small yacht when it heels (leans over) as much as 30 degrees and be ready to sit with your legs over the rail after tacking (changing course). My yacht wins in most seasons and I'm extremely competitive. We DO NOT carry crew who just sit on the rail, and you must be willing to work as a team. **PLEASE REMEMBER YOU’RE COMING TO BE TAUGHT HOW TO SAIL SO I NEED TO POINT OUT A FEW THINGS FOR SAFETY REASONS** 1. Wear clothes suitable for sailing – MOST IMPORTANT – rubber, soft-soled shoes with good grip. NO THONGS OR BARE FEET! 2. If you have long hair, TIE IT UP 3. Glasses and hats need to be tied with cord or similar – I’ve seen so many disappear overboard. 4. If you have sailing or gym gloves, bring them to protect hands from rope burn. 5. 5 Strong advice - please remove rings from fingers, and super-long nails really hurt when bent or caught 6.If your a poor swimmer i suggest you obtain a life jacket i have life jackets on board in case of a emergency but the are bulky and hard to move in

Swimming Holes Royal NP! Waterfall to Uloola Falls, Karloo & Olympic Pools

This walk takes us from Waterfall to Uloola falls, Karloo pool and then to Olympic pool. **We will start at Waterfall Train Station (exit train station and turn left until you get to the drop-off area) at 9.15am. **From here we will follow the Uloola Fire Trail for about 5kms to Uloola Falls, where we stop for a snack and I will show you a secret swimming hole with little waterfalls. We will then follow the Karloo Track for 3 kms to Karloo Pools ,where we will have lunch.Then we will follow Kangaroo Creek to Olympic pool. We will head to Heathcote Train Station via the Bottle Forest track. We will arrive at Heathcote train station by 3.30 pm. **DISTANCE: About 14 km.** GRADE: Medium, there are a few hills to climb.
