Watsons Bay to Bondi whale watch / hike

It's the season to see whale in autumn when they swim up towards Queensland... sorry I dont remember which exact weeks they are coming. finger crossed. if you are the last person in a fast hiking group, then it's the speed. We are rather slow but not super slow. We will meet at circular quay, take a ferry to Watsons bay, then walk along the coast to Bondi. We may have lunch in the Bondi market Meetup fee: $5 *Everyone is reaponsible for his/her own safety. Everyone is welcome, and most suitable for gentlemen and ladies aged 30 to 60. SSP.TUE.Kurraba Point to Cremorne Point

Grab a coffee and then meet at Circular Quay (normally) Wharf 5 at 10:15 ready for the Neutral Bay (F5) ferry at 10:25. We will disembark at **Kurraba Point** at approximately 10:45. We will walk from the wharf up several flights of steps to Kurraba Rd. (NB The only egress from the wharf is via these steps which cover a horizontal distance of approximately 50m.) Turning right from the top of the steps we will walk along Kurraba Rd to Hodgson's Lookout. If you're feeling energetic you may wish to walk down to the water front reserve. From the Lookout we will proceed via Kurraba Rd, Shell Cove Rd, Honda Rd and Bogata Ave to Cremorne Walk. We will then take this sealed pathway along the western side of Cremorne Point to Cremorne Point Wharf. We will depart from Cremorne Point via F6 ferry to Circular Quay with lunch upstairs at the Paragon Hotel. Nite Hike with Mike. Stunning 7kms Taronga Zoo to Balmoral Beach Hike! Beer too!

A few weeks ago we hiked Coogee to Bondi at nite - it was really, really cool. Beer before... and (meal) after. We'll keep up with the Nite-Hikes that finish at the pub! Love it - it's a different kind of energy when you hike in the evening. Let's hike post-sunset Taronga Zoo towards Balmoral Beach while talking shit and licking our beautiful city then head up to the lovely Buena Hotel in Mosman (one of my favourite Lower North Shore pubs) for a great pub meal. ***Taronga to Balmoral***. It’s an Aussie fahkin' beauty of a due to its diversity… Of course the ***ferry ride from CQuay to Taronga (ferry leaves at 545pm - be early*** is amazing, and the first stint of the walk transports you to another part of Australia – it’s a rainforest start to ***Bradley’s Head*** with perfect views of ***Sydney Opera House / Harbour Bridge***. Turning the corner we’ll stop at a secluded beach then carry on to ***Taylor’s Bay*** – the greenery / plant life there will amaze all. 2026 WHALE TRAIL: La Perouse Headland! 11kms Coastal Hike. With Drinks!

Sure, we'll mix it up with Blue Mountains, a Christmas in July Pub Crawl, and more... but with 40,000 whales coming north, The 2026 SYDNEY WHALE TRAIL continues!** **La Perouse (check the pics down below for hiking map)...** the French history. The stunning beaches. The nude beach. The bush walk. The cliff face views... Photo Walk - Sydney Fish Markets to Pyrmont Bay

Finally, we have time for a Photo Walk. This walk is ideal for those interested in Street, Architecture and Urban Photography, which are all components of Travel Photography. We'll meet at the western plaza entrance (outside Hamsi Taverna) to the Sydney Fishmarkets at 9:30 am, where we will photograph the interior and exterior. We will then proceed along the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Walk to Pyrmont Bay. DURATION: Approx 3 hours EQUIPMENT: Camera, lenses. For the shots of the Sydney Fish Markets, you may want to bring your widest lens. A tripod is handy but not essential for this walk. PERSONAL: Comfortable walking shoes, water, hat, sunglasses, suntan lotion and an umbrella/wet weather jacket (if the weather looks bad). DISTANCE: Approx. 4km GETTING THERE: **Car** \- For those driving\, there is usually street parking around the Sydney Fish Markets\. There's also parking at the Sydney Fish Markets\, but this is expensive \(2\.5 \- 3 hours is $45\) **Train** \- Catch the light rail from Central to either Wentworth Park or Bank Street stops\. If travelling on the line from Dulwich Hill\, get off at Wentworth Park COST: $5.00 - There is no refund/transfer of fee for cancellations.
